By using digital talking books technology, we are striving to deliver the following benefits and revolutionize the way in which people with visual and print disability in Punjab, have traditionally reached out to the world of print:
Independent Access to Knowledge: Digital talking books obviate the need to depend on human readers for reading out the contents of the book. These books once recorded and produced, can be listened to by users repeatedly anytime and anywhere on everyday playback devices like CD/mp3 players, computers and mobile phones. Affordable Access to Knowledge: We at Saksham Punjab are making the various Digital talking books available free of cost to the users. Portability & Convenient Access to Knowledge: All audio/talking books produced by Saksham Punjab are made available to the users in the form of CDs. Thus, they can be easily transported and stored unlike the voluminous Braille books of the past. Fully navigational books: The aim of the talking book Digital Library is to provide the full range of materials in DAISY format. Recording in Digital Access Information System known as (DAISY), provides a unique navigational system through which a reader can easily and quickly, access the material not only chapter wise, section wise or subsection wise, but also page wise. In other words he/she can reach the required heading/page/section almost effortlessly within no time. The most beautiful feature of this format is that the end user can also check the spellings of any particular word in any part of the book with the help of scream reader software. असफलता सफलता से कहीं ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है

सभी के जीवन में एक समय ऐसा आता है जब सभी चीज़ें आपके विरोध में हो रहीं हों | चाहें आप एक
प्रोग्रामर हैं या कुछ और, आप जीवन के उस मोड़ पर खड़े होता हैं जहाँ सब कुछ ग़लत हो रहा
होता है| अब चाहे ये कोई सॉफ्टवेर हो सकता है जिसे सभी ने रिजेक्ट कर दिया हो, या
आपका कोई फ़ैसला हो सकता है जो बहुत ही भयानक साबित हुआ हो |

लेकिन सही मायने में, विफलता सफलता से ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण होती है | हमारे इतिहास में
जितने भी बिजनिसमेन, साइंटिस्ट और महापुरुष हुए हैं वो जीवन में सफल बनने से पहले लगातार

अब ज़रा सोचो की अगर हेनरी फ़ोर्ड पाँच बिज़नेस में फेल होने के बाद निराश होकर बैठ
जाता, या एडिसन 999 असफल प्रयोग के बाद उम्मीद छोड़ देता और आईन्टाइन भी खुद को
दिमागी कमजोर मान के बैठ जाता तो क्या होता?
