On 30th October 2025, students of the IX semester of KCL Institute of Laws, Jalandhar, witnessed the proceedings of the Supreme Court of India. The visit aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the Indian judicial system and expose them to the workings of the highest court of the land.

Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Daljit Riyat and coordination by Ms. Monika Thakur, students gained valuable insights into the Court's procedures and practices. The visit was a significant learning experience, allowing students to observe the Court's proceedings and interact with officials. Besides this students visited Library building and court museum

The students were thoroughly engaged throughout the visit, demonstrating keen interest in the Court's functions. This visit not only enhanced their knowledge of the judicial system but also inspired them to pursue careers in law.

**KCL Institute of Laws, Jalandhar Students Visit to the High Court, Chandigarh**

On 31st October 2025, The Final year law students from K.C.L Institute of Laws, Jalandhar, visited the High Court of Punjab and Haryana in Chandigarh as part of their academic exposure and practical learning.Under the guidance of Dr. Daljit Riyat (Principal) the visit was organized by Dr Sudesh kumari (High Court Visit Incharge), aiming to provide students with an opportunity to observe the legal proceedings firsthand and gain valuable insights into the judicial system.

Accompanied by Dr. Pushpinder Kaur Kajla(Assistant Prof), Ms. Swarnjeet kaur (Assistant Prof) .The visit was a significant learning experience for the students, offering them a unique platform to engage with the practical aspects of law beyond textbooks and classroom discussions. The students expressed their gratitude to the college for organizing such an insightful visit and hoped for more such opportunities to expand their knowledge.

Under the dynamic and esteemed leadership of our Principal, Dr. Daljit Riyat, the Client Counselling Competition was successfully held on 24th October 2025 at K.C.L. Institute of Laws, Jalandhar.
A total of 16 teams participated in the First Round, out of which 8 teams qualified for the Semi-Final Round, and 4 teams qualified for the Final Round, making the competition highly competitive and engaging.

*KCL Institute of Law Celebrates International Girl Child Day*

KCL Institute of Law, Jalandhar, marked International Girl Child Day on October 15, 2024, with great enthusiasm. The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Daljit Riyat and coordinated by Event Incharges Ms. Shivani Kaushal and Ms. Suresh Kumari.

A slogan-writing competition was held, encouraging students to express their thoughts on girl child empowerment. Many students participated, showcasing their creativity and talent.

KCL Institute of Laws in Jalandhar recently hosted a Fresher's Party for its new students on October 3, 2025. The event featured fun activities, DJ music, modelling, and other memorable events. The winners of the Mr. and Miss Fresher titles from the B.A.LL.B program were Mr Dhruvam and Ms Sargun, while the winners from the LLB (TYC) program were Ms Tanya and Mr Anil kumar kaul. Such events are an excellent way for students to bond and create lasting memories.

Today *K.C.L* *Institute* *of* *Law* Organised a visit of faculty and students to *Lok* *Adalat* held at Jalandhar courts under the guidance of our honourable Principal mam Dr.Daljit Riyat along with Dr.Pushpinder kaur kajla and Dr.Shailly J.S.Dhupar. Our visit aimed to observe and understand the functioning of Lok Adalat.
The visit of our students to Lok Adalat was insightful, and they gained a deeper understanding of the alternative dispute resolution mechanism. The experience underscored the significance of promoting access to justice through innovative and efficient methods.
