12th International Yoga Day Celebrated

Yoga is a way of life and not just a form of exercise. It rejuvenates not only the body but also the mind. The 12th International Yoga Day was observed at Police DAV Public School, in the presence of Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij.
On this occasion, 400 students including the cadets of NSS, NCC, Army, Navy, and Air Wing units of the school, along with teaching, non-teaching, and helping staff, performed group yoga under the guidance of Yoga Activity Incharge Ms Preeti Khehra and the school's yoga instructors, Ms Rupa Basak and Mr Chandra Mohan. Chanting 'Om' and meditation also formed a part of the event. Mr Surendra Mohan, a State Awardee and retired Principal of RCF, Kapurthala, also graced the event and acquainted the students with the importance of yoga.
Decathlon Sports provided certificates and gift coupons to all the participating students
Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij motivated everyone to make yoga an essential part of their daily routine to maintain both mental and physical well being.

POLICE DAV ALUMNI ANGELS WELFARE SOCIETY CELEBRATES 'POLICE DAV DAY'

Police DAV Public School opened its gates to the beloved alumni for a day of celebration and reminiscence. The fifth edition of "Police DAV DAY," hosted by the Police DAV Alumni Angels Welfare Society, provides a valuable opportunity for the alumni settled around the globe to reconnect and recollect their cherished memories.

"Police DAV Day 2026– Homecoming – Where the Journey Begins," held on school premises under the auspices of DAV UNITED and the valuable guidance of Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij, welcomed approximately 130 alumni.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms Neetu Vaid. The ceremonial lamp was lit to invoke divine blessings. The senior members of the Alumni Society gave a floral welcome to Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. This was followed by the DAV Gaan. Students captivated the audience with a spectacular musical performance.

A quiz- 'Know your Alma mater' was organised which made the alumni recollect and test their knowledge about facts related to the school.

A dance performance by Aarohi mesmerized the entire audience. 'Queen of Sheba' and other games unleashed the enthusiastic participation of all the alumni.

Distinguished alumni Navjot Singh Thind and Sameer who are active members of the Society, made the event more special with their presence. Various alumni including Dhriti Trehan, Aastha, Arshnoor, Swati, Paramvir Anand and Shipra expressed sincere gratitude for the school's role in shaping their character and instilling strong values. They shared their experiences with fellow alumni.

Dr. Rashmi Vij, Principal encouraged the alumni to actively participate in Society affairs, remain connected to their roots and contribute wholeheartedly to the Society's initiatives. They must realise that as worthy brand ambassadors of the school, they must make sincere efforts to take the institution further.
The event came to an end with a vote of thanks by Ms Maninder but it left behind beautiful memories in the hearts of all the attendees.

Supervisor Ms Urvashi Arora also graced the occasion. The event was coordinated by Mr Pushpender Singh, Ms Chandermohini, Ms Meenakshi Kalra and Mr Deepak Mehta. Amanpreet Kaur, Maninder Kaur, Aarzoo and Anjali kant, the alumni who are now the faculty members of the school, were also a part of the event.

POLICE DAV GIRL WINS IN STAR INDIA EVENT

Age is just a number and Bani Kathuria, a student of class III F of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar has proven this by winning a trophy in the 'Star India' event where she showcased her talent in modelling, brimming with confidence. It is a matter of great pride that Bani was declared the winner in the event in which the celebrity guest was the Bollywood actor Mr Rahul Roy. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij applauded Bani for her roaring success.

Deep kiran Kaur from Police DAV Public School has proved that nothing is impossible if one is determined and dedicated. She is an all rounder and has been successful in striking a fine balance between sports and academics.
She scored an incredible 94.2% in Humanities in Twelfth board exams. She bagged a gold medal in DAV Swimming Nationals. She was also the Sports Captain of the school.

Another energetic and exciting day at the Summer Camp of classes II–V at Police DAV Public School was full of fun and laughter. Children enjoyed every moment of the day with great enthusiasm.

The campers had a wonderful movie day and loved the experience of sitting together with friends and enjoying a fun-filled movie. A refreshing yoga session was also conducted where children practised breathing exercises for peaceful and healthy living. During the yoga session, the respected ma’am Principal, Dr. Rashmi, also guided the children to keep a water pitcher at home and drink water from it as a healthy and refreshing habit during summers.

The swimming session added more excitement as children splashed around and enjoyed themselves to the fullest. Games, as always, remained everyone’s favourite part of the day.

Children of classes II and III enjoyed a creative kindness activity where they pasted leaves and wrote thoughtful messages on the ‘Kindness Tree’. They wrote beautiful messages like “Be kind to animals,” “Be kind to friends,” “Be kind to birds,” and “Be kind to everyone around.” The activity encouraged children to spread love, care, and kindness in their daily lives.

Overall, the day was packed with joy, learning, creativity, and unforgettable memories.
The day was thoughtfully planned, wonderfully executed, and made truly memorable under the inspiring guidance of Supervisor ,Ms. Gargi Sharma.

**Rainbow Adventure Camp 🌈*

*Day 3: Green day**🌲🌳
Day 3 of the summer camp was celebrated as the green day. The children came dressed in clothes of vibrant shades of green colour.
It was also a picnic day for the children. Children went to Jawahar Garden for a picnic and enjoyed in the lush green environment of the garden.
They played various games like sack race, lemon and spoon race, hoola hoop race, 3 legged race and so on and enjoyed thoroughly.
They took different rides in the garden and played with their friends. They also danced on rocking music and had a gala time.

“From gaming to gardening, splashing to crafting : A perfect blend of learning, play, and unforgettable moments at Summer Camp!!!”

The third day of the Summer Camp at Police DAV Public School for Classes II to V was filled with fun, excitement, and joyful learning experiences. The children enthusiastically participated in craft activities and showcased their creativity with great excitement.

The gardening session was both interesting and informative, where students learned about soil, plant saplings, and many other important aspects of gardening. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring nature and understanding how plants grow.

Excitement continued as the students had a wonderful time in the Gaming Truck and enjoyed playing various fun-filled games, including energetic one-minute games that kept everyone cheerful and active.

The swimming session was one of the most exciting parts of the day, as children happily splashed water on each other and enjoyed every moment in the pool. Their laughter and enthusiasm made the atmosphere lively and refreshing.

The camp also included a grooming session, which was highly engaging and enjoyable for the students. Overall, the third day of the summer camp was packed with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories for all the children.
The camp is being organised under the supervision of Ms.Gargi Sharma.

INAUGURATION OF THE FIRST SKATING RINK IN JALANDHAR HELD AT POLICE DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL

The inauguration ceremony of the newly built roller hockey and skating rink was held at Police DAV Public School,Jalandhar Cantt. The chief guest was Mr. MF Farooqui, IPS, ADGP, SAP, PAP. Shri Rajpal Singh Sandhu, IPS, IGP also graced the occasion.
The Principal of the school, Dr. Rashmi Vij gave a floral welcome to the distinguished guests.
After the inauguration of the roller skating rink, the students gave a roller skating presentation brimming with patriotic fervour, which captivated everyone.
The chief guest also inaugurated the Commemorative Installation- 'Glorious Thirty Years of Gratitude' to mark the 30 glorious years of the school. The skating coaches of the school Mr Dilbagh Singh Kahlon and Mr Balram were also present on this occasion. This information was given by Ms Dimpy Malik.

🌈 **RAINBOW ADVENTURE CAMP

*DAY 2** *Blue Day* 💙🔵
The second day of the Rainbow Adventure Camp, was celebrated as Blue Day! The children came dressed in different shades of 🔵 blue coloured clothes . They had an amazing time splashing and playing in the pool, especially the LKG and
UKG kids who loved the water fun. They also got creative in a craft session, making beautiful bottle holders out of waste materials, showcasing their imagination. To top it off, they danced their hearts out on stage with their teachers. First class also joined in the fun at the swimming pool, making it a splash-filled, creative, and energetic day!
The children also took part in fun games and relished delicious food. The whole event is being organised under the supervision of Ms Savita Sharma supervisor (pre primary wing).
