On 28th February 2026, a training session was conducted for officials of the HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) Department under the iRAD/eDAR framework.

๐ฆ Administration Tightens Road Safety Measures in Lahaul & Spiti
A detailed District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) meeting was held at the DC Office Conference Hall, Keylong, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lahaul & Spiti to strengthen road safety systems in the district.
๐ Major Decisions & Directions:
โ Crash barriers to be installed at identified black spots
โ Strengthening ambulance & emergency medical services
โ โน25,000 cash reward for Good Samaritans assisting accident victims
โ Strict enforcement against over-speeding & drunken driving
โ Intensified awareness and preventive road safety activities
๐ Accident Review (2025):
20 road accidents reported | 12 fatalities | 58 injuries
DC expressed serious concern and directed all departments to ensure coordinated, result-oriented action to reduce accidents.
๐ฅ The meeting was attended by SP, SDM, RTO, BRO, Health, PWD, Education, NIC and other district officers, reinforcing multi-departmental commitment towards safer roads in the high-altitude district.
