🚦 Administration Tightens Road Safety Measures in Lahaul & Spiti

A detailed District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) meeting was held at the DC Office Conference Hall, Keylong, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lahaul & Spiti to strengthen road safety systems in the district.

🔎 Major Decisions & Directions:

✔ Crash barriers to be installed at identified black spots
✔ Strengthening ambulance & emergency medical services
✔ ₹25,000 cash reward for Good Samaritans assisting accident victims
✔ Strict enforcement against over-speeding & drunken driving
✔ Intensified awareness and preventive road safety activities

📊 Accident Review (2025):
20 road accidents reported | 12 fatalities | 58 injuries
DC expressed serious concern and directed all departments to ensure coordinated, result-oriented action to reduce accidents.
