Conducted a highly interactive, fun-filled, knowledgable Republic Day Story Telling & Quiz contest in collaboration with Jaipur Moms.
The children were extremely curious & spontaneous in giving answers. Proud little Indians got excited in listening to stories of India & also sang Vande Maataram & Jana Gana Mana..

VANDE MAATARAM

14th January is a day of celebration in India. Every state has different reasons & different ways to celebrate it. But the motto is only one... GOOD HEALTH & PROSPERITY!!!

Let's check it out:
• LOHRI is the festival of HARVEST, marking the end of the sowing season. Celebrated in Punjab on 13th January, by singing & dancing around a bonfire.
• SANKRANTI & UTTARAYAN is the festival of the SUN, marking the start of longer days, hence onset of summer solstice. On this day, We can get Vitamin D for the full year, when basked in the sun for a full day, thus we celebrate by flying kites, in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh.
• PONGAL is a 4 day festival of HARVESTING of the crops like rice, turmeric, sugarcane. Also it is associated with CATTLE, who ploughs the fields to produce more food. Celebrated in Tamil Nadu.
• BIHU is also a HARVEST festival of Assam, marking the Assamese new year & end of harvest season.
