The parade starts when the President arrives and the horse mounted unit of the President's Body Guard gives him a salute. Just at that instant, the national anthem plays and a 21 gun salute starts. But did you know that there are not actually 21 guns firing off? There are 7 artillery guns of the Indian Army, called the '25 pounders' that fire off the moment the CO of the President's Body Guard salutes the President. The firing of the gun matches the first note of the national anthem, and finishes with the last, exactly 52 seconds later. These guns were built in 1941 and take part in all ceremonial functions of the army.

"Gwalior Gharana" is the oldest gharanas of Hindustani Music, it is one of the oldest Khyal Gharana.

The beautiful Song 'Agar Tum Mil Jaao' was originally the mukhda of a Noorjehan song from Pakistan.
The song was adapted with fresh antaras written by Sayeed Quadri and composed by Anu Malik to the basic framework of the main lines.

It is said that Lata moved India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to tears when she sang the song "Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, Zara Aankh Me Bhar Lo Pani".
This was in 1962 when India lost the war to China and Pandit Ji apparently said to her that she had moved him to tears. She apparently has a permanent gallery reserved for her at the Lord's Stadium from where she enjoys watching her favourite game- Cricket. She became the first Indian in 1974 to have performed in the Royal Albert Hall, London. It is said that Lata didi believes that her voice suits actress Saira Banu's the best!
