**Indian Folk Art Deserves the Runway, Not Just the Museum.**

Fashion is powerful when it honours its roots. It’s time Indian folk art gets the patronage it truly deserves.

From Madhubani to Kalamkari, Warli to Pattachitra — India’s folk arts carry centuries of stories, skill and soul. Yet, they remain underrepresented in mainstream fashion.

The Indian fashion industry has the power to **patronise, preserve and promote** these living traditions by integrating folk art into contemporary silhouettes, textiles and design narratives. Doing so not only creates authentic design identities but also supports artisan communities and sustains cultural heritage.

Visited AMI ARTS FESTIVAL with Shweta Agrawal where 80 Arts with 80 Themes and for sure by 80 artists was showcased by state level Madhubani Artist Smriti V Srivastava and the Patron Sudiip Srivastava in Kolkata .The passion ,the grit,the depth said it all!
