The Department of Philosophy is one of the most prestigious seats of learning in the campus. It is one of the four Departments of Philosophy in the country to have a “Centre for Advanced Studies” status. 1st Prof Biswambhar Pahi Memorial Lecture, under the aegis of ICPR, delivered by Prof Arindam Chakrabarti

Prof. Chakrabarti gave a spellbinding talk on the magnum opus of Prof Biswambhar Pahi and an abstruse problem in NV. The illustrious talk was followed by equally mesmerizing comments from Prof Shrinivasa Varakhedi and Prof Sachchidanand Mishra . The department is thankful to Prof Chakrabarti, Prof Varakhedi, Prof Mishra and the Council for everything.

1st Professor Biswambhar Pahi Memorial Lecture is being organized on 12th December 2022, at SAP Philosophy (Ahead of Gandhi Bhawan), from 10-30 am to 1-00 pm.

Eminent philosopher Prof. Arindam Chakrabarti, Lenney Distinguished Professor at Hawaii University, Manoa, Hawaii, USA has kindly agreed to deliver the 1st Prof Pahi Memorial Lecture.

Prof. Rajeev Jain, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan, shall chair the talk.

Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor , Central Sanskrit University shall grace the event as the Chief Guest.

Prof. Sachchidanand Mishra , Member Secretary, Indian Council of Philosophical Research shall be the Guest of Honour.

The lecture is being organized under the aegis of Indian Council of Philosophical Research, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

ICPR Study Circle Webinar by Department of Philosophy, University of Rajasthan, was organized on Philosophers at Jaipur: Daya Krishna, to initiate a dialogue on philosophical contributions of Daya ji on 31st May 2021

Prof. Daniel Raveh, Tel Aviv University gave a wonderful introduction to various philosophical projects of Daya Ji.

Prof. Asha Mukherjee presented an in-depth analysis of Daya ji's Assessment of Bharatmuni's Ras-siddhant.

Prof. Rameshchandra Sinha, Chairperson ICPR presided and gave insightful suggestions and words of wisdom on philosophizing in Indian way. Prof. Sinha made brilliant remarks on both the talks. We are extremely thankful to Prof Sinha for everything.
