The Department of Drawing & Painting organised a visit to Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur to explore the Wonders of Egyptian Art on 16th October 2023 . The Museum Art Exhibition titled “Tutankhamun II : Secretes & Treasures - Celebrating 101 years of excavation” was visited by 52 UG / PG Students of the department accompanied by Dr. Sarika Kaul (HOD) , Dr. Manisha Khinchi , Ms. Preeti Kaushal & Ms. Ritika Kumari ( Faculty) and assisted by Mr. Kamal Kumar. The students gained an insight about the afterlife myth & traditions of Egyptian art and the art of Mummification and about the luxurious life of the brave and warrior King Tutankhamun .It was a life time learning experience for the students of art as they saw the original artefacts and also the replicas of Egyptian art . They also became aware of the career options in field of Art Curator, Art Narrator & Archeological especially Egyptology through this visit.

To enhance creativity and for career enrichment the Department of Drawing & Painting organised a 15-day workshop “ Career Enrichment , Creativity & Rejuvenation through Fevicryl products “in collaboration with Pidilite Industries Private Limited from 27 September 2023 to 14 October 2023 for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the department.
On the Day 1 Lippan Art, and on the other days, training was imparted on - Mirror Mosaic Art, Blue Pottery Art, Tie and Dye, Bottle Art, Canvas Painting and Fluid Art. The main objective of the workshop was to make the students of the department self-reliant by sharpening their artistic skills and unleashed their creativity. The students learnt to make various decorative items for Diwali and other occasions using simple materials . They made decorative items for table , photo frames, coasters, wall decor items , Decorative Mirrors ,wall hangings, blue pottery items , Tie & Dye on T-shirts, dupattas etc . 41 students of the department enthusiastically participated in this workshop.

Two Days workshop on “ Exploring the world of Textures “ was conducted on 1st & 2nd September’23 by the Department of Drawing & Painting , for the skill enhancement of the students so that they acquire the skill essential for becoming a good artist .

कानोड़िया पीजी महिला महाविद्यालय के गणित एवं सांख्यिकी विभाग द्वारा स्नातकोत्तर छात्राओं हेतु गणितीय सॉफ्टवेयर ‘लेटेक्स एवं मेटलैब’ पर दो दिवसीय कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला के पहले दिन विभागाध्यक्ष ऋषि दस्सानी एवं सहायक आचार्य डॉ. सरोज रेवणकर द्वारा छात्राओं को लेटेक्स में टंकण की बारीकियों और शोध पत्र लेखन से अवगत करवाया गया। कार्यशाला के दूसरे दिन आनंद इंटरनेशनल कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग के सहायक आचार्य श्री अनुपम अग्रवाल ने मेटलैब द्वारा स्नातक एवं स्नातकोत्तर स्तर की गणितीय समस्याओं को हल करने की विधियों का प्रशिक्षण दिया। कार्यशाला के समापन पर महाविद्यालय प्राचार्य डॉ. सीमा अग्रवाल ने छात्राओं को प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किए। कार्यशाला में गणित विभाग की 50 स्नातकोत्तर छात्राओं ने भाग लिया।

सोमवार, 8 मई, 2023 को इंटरनेशनल एनजीओ, वर्ल्ड एनीमल प्रोटेक्शन एवं कानोड़िया पीजी महिला महाविद्यालय के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में महाविद्यालय में एक वन्यजीव जागरुकता अभियान का आयोजन किया गया, जिसका विषय ’जयपुर-आमेर में हाथियों पर हो रही क्रूरता के प्रति जागरुकता’ था। इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में, वर्ल्ड एनीमल प्रोटक्शन एनजीओ में वन्य जीव अभियान प्रबन्धक डॉ. अमु्रता बधेका रहीं, जिन्होंने वन्यजीवों के महत्व को समझाते हुए उनकी सुरक्षा के प्रति छात्राओं को जागरूक किया एवं बताया कि सम्पूर्ण भारतवर्ष में करीब 2,675 हाथियों को उनके अपने घर ’जंगल’ से दूर कर अन्य स्थानों पर बंधक के रूप में रखा जाता है, कई पर्यटन स्थलों पर पर्यटकों को उनकी सवारी करवायी जाती है।

The Department of Drawing and Painting celebrated the “World Art Day” on 15 April 2023. “ Mandana Amidst Nature” : Create your own Mandana-The indigenous technique of traditional folk art of Rajasthani Mandana was taught to the students & staff .
