🎯 DC Reading Se Mobile ON Check + Fault Diagnosis
While working with a DC power supply, you can identify whether the mobile is turning ON just by observing the current reading. Initially, the reading may start below 100 mA, but if it suddenly rises and goes above 400–500 mA, it indicates that the mobile has powered ON.
This is a very important practical concept. In the beginning, technicians often connect a display to confirm, but with experience, you won’t need that. Just by looking at the DC current behavior, you can understand the phone’s condition.
For example:
👉 If current jumps from low to 400–500 mA+, it means the phone is booting
👉 This confirms that the power section is working
After confirming through DC reading, you can connect the display to visually verify. Once connected, if the logo appears, it clearly confirms that the mobile is ON and booting properly.
Even if the phone is locked (password issue), it doesn’t matter at this stage because:
👉 Your main goal was to turn ON the mobile successfully

⚡ Final Diagnosis
👉 Since the phone is now turning ON, the earlier issue was:
❌ Faulty Charging IC
✔️ After resolving/replacing it →
✅ Mobile is now working properly

🎯 Testing Points & Diode Value Checking (L-Shape Line Analysis)

In this section, the PCB is arranged in an L-shape, and you can find testing points at the top and corner areas. These testing points are often covered with protective tape, so the first step is to carefully remove the tape. Once removed, you will clearly see the testing points—in this case, there are 5 points available.

Now, while checking:
👉 Skip the first testing point
👉 Start checking from the second point

Set your multimeter to diode mode:

Red probe → Ground
Black probe → Testing point

When you check the second point, you’ll get a diode value around 260. As already known, a diode value between 250 to 800 is generally considered OK.

⚡ What Does This Mean?

✔️ The line you tested is healthy (no issue)
✔️ The diode value confirms that the circuit path is proper

But earlier, if shorting was detected on this line, then:

👉 The issue is likely not in the line itself
👉 The fault may be:

Inside the IC
Or in a component connected further in the circuit
