Descartes was a French Philosopher, Mathematician and Scientist, dubbed as the father of modern western philosophy. Descartes influence in Mathematics is immense; the Cartesian coordinate system is named after him.

His statement reflects that humans are nothing if they don't think. Individual thoughts and ideas are the things that make us unique from each other.
Else everyone will stay the same, everyone will dream the same.

We want our students to be great individuals with the ability to stick to their thoughts and not imitate anyone around them.
