We are pleased to introduce 2020 Spirit of Ramanujan Fellow Anand (he has no last name). Anand is an exceptional 16-year-old high school math whiz who hails from Rajasthan, India. Anand has already published his first research paper, a study of exceptional units in algebraic number theory. With the help of online resources, he has mastered undergraduate mathematics, and he is now pursuing his research in number theory under the supervision of professors at the Harish Chandra Research Institute. He will use his SOR fellowship award to buy advanced mathematics books for his research career to assist his research and training at HRI.

Congratulations! Hillel Furstenberg and Gregory Margulis will share the 2020 Abel Prize.
