Independence Day Celebrations

“Freedom lives in every responsible heart.”

Mahaveer Public School celebrated the 80th Independence Day on Saturday, 15 August 2026, with immense patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Hon’ble Justice Shri Manish Sharma, Rajasthan High Court, by the Management and Principal. The Chief Guest hoisted the Tricolour and inspected the parade. Shri Sunil Bakhshi, Secretary, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the remarkable achievements of the school.

The campus came alive with a spectacular House Parade, mesmerising yoga and skating presentations, musical and cultural performances, and impressive Brass Band and Bagpipe Band displays, beautifully reflecting patriotism, discipline and unity.

The occasion also celebrated excellence as meritorious students were felicitated. Miss Mansi Godha, Class XII (2025–26), received the prestigious Best All-Rounder of the Year Award, sponsored by The Shrimati Kala Sethi Memorial Educational Endowment. Master Agastya Saini was honoured for his outstanding national-level sporting achievements, with the award sponsored by The Shri Pramod Patni Educational Endowment.

Under the Lalita Devi Kasliwal Educational Endowment, sponsored by Shri Sudhanshu Kasliwal and Mrs Ritu Kasliwal, Master Atishay Jain (Roller Skating), Miss Anushka Debnath (English Vocal Music), Miss Aarohi Khandelwal (Dramatics), Miss Katyayani Srivastava (Abacus), Ms Kirtika Deora and Miss Tanvi Saini (Bagpipe Band), and Miss Lavisha Bhatia (Dance) were honoured for their excellence. Each recipient was presented with a running shield, Memento and a cheque of ₹5,000.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Umrao Mal Sanghi, President, reminded the students that freedom comes with responsibility. The inspiring words of the Chief Guest, himself a proud senior alumnus of SMDJ Senior Secondary School, added a deeply nostalgic and inspiring touch, filling young hearts with pride and gratitude for the nation.

The celebration concluded with the National Anthem and distribution of sweets, leaving everyone with a renewed pledge to serve the nation with integrity, discipline and dedication.

Report on Bagless Day – Inter-Class Activities
Date: 14 August 2026
Bagless Day in Mahaveer Public School was observed with great enthusiasm and excitement . With half a day dedicated to regular studies and the remaining half devoted to engaging experiential activities, the campus was filled with joy, creativity and active participation.
Class 1 students participated in a Fancy Dress Activity based on the theme of patriotism and Independence Day. Dressed as national leaders, freedom fighters and symbols of India, the children confidently portrayed a variety of characters, showcasing their creativity and love for the nation.
Class 2 students presented a melodious group patriotic song, filling the atmosphere with feelings of pride, unity and devotion towards the country.
Class 3 students displayed their creativity and innovation by making headgears, badges and flags, expressing their affection and respect for Mother India through colourful and artistic creations.
Class 4 students participated in Board Decoration and Tiranga Platter Making. They showcased creativity, teamwork and patriotic spirit through their colourful and attractive presentations.
Class 5 students participated in Poster Making on “My Dream India” and Button Stitching. The poster-making activity encouraged imagination and artistic expression, while button stitching helped students learn an important practical life skill. The children enthusiastically learnt the technique and enjoyed working with their hands.
The children were overjoyed and thoroughly engaged throughout the activities. Bagless Day provided a wonderful opportunity to move beyond conventional classroom learning and promote creativity, collaboration, confidence, practical skills and experiential learning in a joyful environment.
Overall, the day proved to be a meaningful and memorable learning experience, fostering patriotism, skill development and holistic growth among the students.

“When young minds portray great heroes, history comes alive!” ✨

Mahaveer Public School hosted an inspiring Fancy Dress Competition for Classes VII A–VII E, where students beautifully portrayed inspiring freedom fighters, leaders and national personalities, showcasing confidence, creativity and patriotic spirit. 🇮🇳

The event was graced by Mrs. Vandana Jain, PGT Political Science, Guest of Honour, and judged by Dr. Renu Sharma and Dr. Manisha Chaudhary.

🌱 SOIL TESTING ACTIVITY
As part of experiential learning under Kaushal Vikas, students of Class IX participated in an engaging Soil Testing Activity based on the concepts given in the NCERT Kaushal Vikas textbook.
Students explored why soil health and fertility are essential for healthy crop growth. They learned that soil testing helps understand important soil properties and supports appropriate soil management.
Students learned the correct method of collecting a representative soil sample by:
Selecting different spots in the field, Removing stones, leaves and other debris
Students also learned about soil pH and its role in evaluating soil health.
✨ Learning by doing makes knowledge meaningful!
