प्रश्न 1. संयुक्त राष्ट्र मरुस्थलीकरण रोकथाम अभिसमय (UNCCD)

संयुक्त राष्ट्र मरुस्थलीकरण रोकथाम अभिसमय (UNCCD) के पक्षकारों का 17वाँ सम्मेलन (COP17) मंगोलिया की राजधानी उलानबटार में “भूमि पुनर्स्थापित करें, आशा पुनर्स्थापित करें” (Restoring Land, Restoring Hope) विषय के साथ शुरू हुआ।

प्रश्न 2. विदेशी मुद्रा अनिवासी (बैंक) — FCNR(B) जमा

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने नए FCNR(B) जमा को अपनी विशेष USD–INR विदेशी मुद्रा स्वैप विंडो के लिए पात्र बनाने की अंतिम तिथि बढ़ाकर 31 अगस्त 2026 कर दी।

FCNR(B) जमा एक सावधि/स्थायी जमा खाता है, जिसे अनिवासी भारतीयों (NRIs) और भारत के प्रवासी नागरिकों (OCIs) द्वारा भारत में अधिकृत बैंकों के साथ स्वीकृत विदेशी मुद्राओं में रखा जाता है।

NRE या NRO जैसे रुपये में मूल्यवर्गित NRI खातों के विपरीत, FCNR(B) में धनराशि पूरी तरह विदेशी मुद्रा में रखी जाती है। इससे जमाकर्ता के लिए विदेशी मुद्रा विनिमय जोखिम समाप्त हो जाता है।

FCNR योजना मूल रूप से 1975 में शुरू की गई थी, जिसमें विनिमय जोखिम RBI/सरकार द्वारा वहन किया जाता था।

FCNR(B) संशोधन: केंद्रीय राजकोषीय देनदारियों को समाप्त करने के लिए संशोधित FCNR(B) योजना मई 1993 में शुरू की गई।

प्रश्न 3. अभ्यास MAITREE-XV

85 सैन्यकर्मियों वाली भारतीय सेना की टुकड़ी, जिसमें मुख्य रूप से 9 गोरखा राइफल्स के सैनिक शामिल हैं, भारत-थाईलैंड संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास MAITREE-XV (2026) में भाग लेने के लिए थाईलैंड रवाना हुई।

अभ्यास MAITREE भारतीय सेना और रॉयल थाई सेना के बीच आयोजित होने वाला वार्षिक द्विपक्षीय संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास है।

प्रश्न 4. काजीरंगा का पारिस्थितिकी-संवेदी क्षेत्र

असम सरकार काजीरंगा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान एवं टाइगर रिजर्व के चारों ओर डिफॉल्ट 10 किमी के बजाय 1–3 किमी का साइट-विशिष्ट Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ) निर्धारित करने के लिए MoEFCC से मंजूरी लेने की योजना बना रही है।

कार्मिक, लोक शिकायत एवं पेंशन मंत्रालय के राज्य मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह नई दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में आयोजित 9वें राष्ट्रीय अनुभव पुरस्कार समारोह में राष्ट्रीय अनुभव पुरस्कार 2026 प्रदान करेंगे।

यह स्टार्टअप इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (MeitY) की Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme के अंतर्गत समर्थित है।

प्रश्न 8. गुजरात के बन्नी घासभूमि में 20 ब्लैकबक पुनर्स्थापित

अगस्त 2026 में गुजरात के कच्छ स्थित बन्नी घासभूमि में पुनर्स्थापन एवं स्थानांतरण अभियान के तहत 20 ब्लैकबक (कृष्णमृग) छोड़े गए।

इनमें 15 मादा और 5 नर ब्लैकबक शामिल थे।
