When innovation and civic sense come together, you know you're witnessing the actions of a truly responsible citizen.
Every day, we pass this fruit vendor near Bhawartal Garden. His cart is simple yet impeccably clean, with fruits neatly arranged in separate baskets. But what truly caught my attention was his ingenious desi jugaad for cutting and peeling tender coconuts.
He has designed a simple DIY setup using iron rods, with a sturdy cutter mounted on top and a bucket placed beneath it. As he cuts and peels the coconuts, every bit of waste falls directly into the bucket. Such a small innovation, yet such a thoughtful way of keeping his surroundings clean.
He could easily have followed the age-old practice of tossing coconut peels and shells around the cart, as we unfortunately see at many roadside stalls. Instead, he chose responsibility over convenience.
We often complain that our city isn't clean and blame the municipal corporation for everything. But real change doesn't begin in government offices—it begins with us. This gentleman's simple idea and responsible attitude truly warmed my heart.
Civic sense isn't something that can be enforced every day. No Prime Minister, government, or civic authority can constantly remind us of our basic responsibilities. Cleanliness is a habit, and responsibility is a choice.
If one city in our own state can consistently be ranked among the cleanest in India year after year, why can't ours?
Let's stop waiting for someone else to bring change. Be the change. A cleaner city begins with responsible citizens, one thoughtful action at a time.
जब थोड़ी-सी समझदारी और नागरिक जिम्मेदारी साथ आती है, तो एक छोटा-सा प्रयास भी बहुत बड़ा संदेश दे जाता है।
हम रोज़ भवँरताल गार्डन के पास इस फल वाले को देखते हैं। छोटी-सी गाड़ी है, लेकिन बहुत साफ-सुथरी। फल अलग-अलग टोकरियों में करीने से रखे हुए हैं।
लेकिन सबसे अच्छी बात जो मेरा ध्यान खींचती है, वह है नारियल काटने का उसका देसी जुगाड़।
उसने लोहे की रॉड से एक छोटा-सा सेटअप बनाया है। ऊपर कटर लगा रखा है और नीचे एक बाल्टी। नारियल काटते और छीलते समय निकलने वाला सारा कचरा सीधे बाल्टी में गिरता है।
कितनी छोटी-सी सोच है, लेकिन आसपास की सफाई के लिए कितना बड़ा कदम!
वह भी बाकी कई ठेले वालों की तरह नारियल के छिलके और खोल सड़क पर फेंक सकता था। लेकिन उसने ऐसा नहीं किया। उसने अपनी सुविधा के बजाय सफाई और जिम्मेदारी को चुना।
हम अक्सर कहते हैं कि हमारा शहर साफ नहीं है, नगर निगम कुछ नहीं करता, प्रशासन को कुछ करना चाहिए। लेकिन सच तो यह है कि शहर सिर्फ सरकार से नहीं, हम सबकी आदतों से साफ होता है।
इस छोटे-से जुगाड़ ने मुझे एक बात फिर याद दिलाई—
Civic sense सिखाने के लिए हर समय किसी कानून या प्रशासन की जरूरत नहीं होती।
न कोई प्रधानमंत्री हमें हर बार समझा सकता है, न सरकार और न ही नगर निगम।
सफाई रखना हमारी आदत भी हो सकती है और हमारी जिम्मेदारी भी।
अगर हमारे ही राज्य का एक शहर लगातार देश के सबसे स्वच्छ शहरों में अपनी जगह बना सकता है, तो हमारा शहर क्यों नहीं?
शुरुआत किसी और से करने की उम्मीद मत रखिए।
बदलाव की शुरुआत हमसे ही होगी।
एक साफ शहर के लिए हमेशा बड़े-बड़े अभियान जरूरी नहीं होते।
कभी-कभी एक छोटे से ठेले वाले का छोटा-सा देसी जुगाड़ और जिम्मेदार सोच भी बहुत कुछ सिखा जाती है। ❤️

Nutrition talk for Awareness of parents was held at Mount litera Zee School.
When we talk about JUNC...what exactly is JUNC?
Do you consider burger,pizza,french fries JUNC or the real culprits are also hiding in our own kitchen.
How these packed foods with excessive salt,preservatives,additives and carriers are playing havoc with our kids' bodies.Has increasing rate of infertility,behavorial disorders and precocious puberty anything to do with consuming Packed food.
Making the things easier for parents to understand,interacted with parents on
1.Real culprit of carries is not only sugar
2.JUNC what all does it include,are we aware.
3.How packed foods play with hormones,brain,cardiac and GI system of child.
4.Time to go back to basics of Indian food habits.

एक मासूम बच्ची के साथ एक और कुकृत्य।समाज के लिए अखबार में छपने वाली एक और खबर है शायद,और जब तक मुद्दा मीडिया में उछलता रहेगा हम बातें भी करेंगे शायद।फिर सब भूल जाएंगे और एक नए दिन की तरह अपने रोजमर्रा के कामों में उलझ जाएंगे।पर हर क्षण,एक अजीब सी बेचैनी,एक अजीब सी घबराहट समाज के हर उस इंसान के अंदर बनी रहेगी,जिसकी बिटिया घर से बाहर कदम रखती है।
ऐसा समाज दे रहे हैं हम अपनी बेटियों को?
बेटियों को आत्मनिर्भर बना रहे हैं,पढ़ा रहे हैं,वो घर से लेकर बड़ी बड़ी कंपनी सम्भाल रही है,पर बेटों एक मूलभूत शिक्षा नहीं दे पा रहे हैं।हममें से कितने लोगों ने अपने बेटों को सामने बैठाकर कभी कभी बात करते हैं........कि बेटी किसी की भी हो......उसकी इज्जत करो,कोई अगर गलत हरकत करता दिखे तो बचाओ उसे।
आप कहेंगे क्या करें कलयुग है।

तो उसको समाज ऐसा दें,कि उसको इसकी जरूरत ही न पड़े।बेटा पढाएं,बेटी बचाएं।पहला कदम अपने घर से।
**पिछले साल आर जी कार मेडिकल कॉलेज कैसे पर एक कविता लिखी थी।पोस्ट कर रही हूं।युग भी ऐसा ही था,इंसान कुकृत्य पहले राक्षशः के रूप में करते थे,अब राक्षशः खुद इंसान के अंदर से ही काम करता है।

क्या है मुद्दा
१.बच्चों की जान खांसी की दवाई से नहीं गई,उसमें मिले घातक दूषित प्रदार्थ, जो कि पेंट में इस्तेमाल होता है की वजह से हुई।
२. किसकी जिम्मेदारी थी,बाजार में आने से पहले दवाई की क्वालिटी चेक की,ऐसा जहर बाजार में बच्चों की दवाई में आने कैसे दिया गया।
अपने बच्चों को केमिस्ट,झोला छाप डॉक्टर्स या खुद से दवाई कभी न दें,डॉक्टर्स से परामर्श करें और दवाई दें।
