On the eve of National Bird Day, The Nature Academy - YPJK, we are thrilled to officially launch J&K's first women birdwatchers club tomorrow—a pioneering initiative to empower women in and across Jammu & Kashmir. This exciting step forward aligns perfectly with our upcoming one-day certificate course on Basic Ornithology, inviting everyone to join us in celebrating and advancing bird science together.

The Nature Academy is organising the titled “Basic Ornithology : From Birdwatching to Bird Science” at Chatlam Wetland Reserve - Pampore, Kashmir, on 4 January 2026 [Tomorrow] from 10:00 AM Key highlights include fundamentals of , of Kashmir, and , , hands-on field session, and expert interaction.

This course welcomes students, teachers and professionals, conservation volunteers, birdwatchers, and nature enthusiasts.

Registration fee is ₹99 for students and ₹499 for professionals, with a certificate provided upon completion. Kindly scan the QR code in the attached poster to register promptly, as spots are limited.

I am pleased to appoint Dr. Bilal Nasir Zargar as our of Wildlife Conservation Fund, YPJK with immediate effect.

Dr. Bilal Nasir Zargar is a passionate Botanist, Nature Conservationist, Educationist and professional wildlife photographer.

I wish him all the very best for his new assignment to take the Mission and Vision of forward and achieve the conservation milestones across the J&K and Ladakh.

Dr. Bilal Nasir Zargar deserves all appreciation and acknowledgement for his great contribution in the field of Botany as he secured his PhD in Saffron, which connects the thread from to Pampore - Saffron Town.

Dr. Bilal Nasir Zargar has collections of more than 10000+ Nature Photographs in his archive and added 5+ new first Bird Records in Jammu & Kashmir.

His honesty and integrity motivated us in the year 2015 to work with him as Green Volunteers for WCF, today after one decade on the occasion of , we feel honoured to appoint him as WCF's Chief Executive Officer.
