Our Green Alliance Club orchestrated a profoundly insightful session by Ms. Khoda Anju on the theme "Biodiversity Loss: A Silent Crisis."

The session peeled back the layers on a global emergency that often goes unheard. Ms. Anju masterfully explained how the gradual disappearance of species and ecosystems isn't just about losing animals and plants—it's a silent threat to our food security, climate stability and the very health of our planet.

Through clear examples and interactive discussions, our students explored the direct link between human actions—like deforestation, pollution, and urban sprawl—and the accelerating decline of nature's intricate web.

The most powerful takeaway? Silence does not mean safety. This crisis may be quiet, but its impacts are already powerful and far-reaching.

A huge thank you to Ms. Khoda Anju for her eye-opening presentation and to the Green Alliance Club for continuously fostering environmental consciousness on campus. The call to action was clear: We must move from silence to solution. Addressing this crisis begins with us—through awareness, responsibility, and collective action.

17th November 2025 marked a proud moment for Don Bosco College!On the occasion of National Press Day, organised by the Arunachal Press Club in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists under the aegis of the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, our college achieved remarkable success.Don Bosco College proudly secured the First Runner-Up position in the State-Level Debate Competition. Our talented Bosconians, Mr. Gangjai Gangsa and Ms. Kabak Ampi, represented the college with distinction, debating on the topic: “This House Believes That Social Media Influencers in Arunachal Pradesh Undermine Public Trust in the Media.”The college extends heartfelt congratulations to both participants for their excellence and dedication. On the occasion of National Press Day,

The event was organised by Arunachal Press Club in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) under the aegis of Department of Information & Public Relation, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.

Don Bosco College, represented by Ms. Kabak Ampi and Mr. Gangjai Gangsa, secured the first runner-up position in the state-level debate competition organised by the Arunachal Press Club at the Banquet Hall on the topic, “This House Believes that Social Media Influencers in Arunachal Pradesh Undermine Public Trust in Media,” on the occasion of National Press Day 2025. Mr. Gangjai Gangsa was also adjudged and awarded the ‘Best Speaker’ in the individual category.

International E-Waste Day was observed as an awareness programme by the Green Alliance Club of Don Bosco College on 14 November 2025, where the coordinator, Mrs. Laxmi Rai, addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of this day and emphasizing the need for responsible e-waste management to safeguard our environment and health. Student members Sadiya Khatun and Mr. Kunjang Wandi spoke about the major causes of increasing e-waste, such as rapid technological changes, short product life cycles, and improper disposal habits. They also explained practical ways to recycle e-waste, including depositing old devices at authorised collection centres, participating in campus recycling drives, and encouraging others to repair, reuse, and responsibly dispose of electronic items.

An Essay Writing Competition was organised on 12th November 2025,

The event was jointly conducted by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Arunachal Pradesh, and the DBC Literary Club.

The topic of the competition was “Atmanirbhar Bharat through Atmanirbhar Arunachal for Vikasit Bharat 2047: Empowering Local Resources, Preserving Indigenous Wisdom.” The theme aimed to inspire students to reflect on the importance of self-reliance, sustainable development, and the preservation of indigenous traditions in building a progressive India.

Mr. Osha Natung, a State Executive Member of BJYM, was present to conduct the competition. His motivating words encouraged participants to express their ideas with confidence and originality. The event was smoothly coordinated with the valuable support of Dr. Ratul Mahela (Coordinator), Dr. Joshiya Khwairakpam (Assistant Coordinator), and Mr. Jadua Murphew (President of the Literary Club).

Several students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their knowledge, creativity, and concern for national development. The competition concluded successfully with an atmosphere of inspiration and patriotic spirit, highlighting the role of youth in achieving the vision of Vikasit Bharat 2047.

Motto: Debate Today, Lead Tomorrow

The Debate Club of Don Bosco College, Jollang, Itanagar, organized a debate session as part of its regular activities to promote critical thinking, communication skills, and healthy argumentation among students. The event followed a well-structured agenda and was successfully conducted under the guidance of the Debate Club coordinators.

The program was hosted by Ayang Jerang, Member of the Debate Club, who also delivered the welcome speech, warmly greeting all the participants, judges, and attendees.

Following the welcome, Dr. Panjang Aboh, Assistant Coordinator of the Debate Club, briefed the participants about the rounds and rules of the debate. His clear instructions helped set the tone for an organized and fair competition.

The session proceeded with the first round of debate, where participants presented arguments both for and against the motion. This was followed by the second round (Rebuttal Round), during which the debaters countered their opponents’ points with strong reasoning and evidence.

After the debate rounds, the judges shared their remarks, observations, and constructive feedback, appreciating the participants’ efforts, confidence, and presentation skills.

Finally, Tajay Duchok, Member of the Debate Club, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the judges, participants, organizers, and audience for their active involvement and contribution to the success of the event.
