A 7-year-old child had severe constipation, causing the stool to harden and take the shape of an anaconda (a large snake). Surgery was required to remove the blockage.

A child eating less for 2–3 days is not a major concern, but not having a bowel movement daily is definitely a problem.

Advice for Parents:

1. Give your child plenty of water and fluids.

2. Reduce dairy and dairy-based foods.

3. Limit outside/processed foods.

4. Encourage eating vegetables and seasonal fruits.

5. Avoid giving too many blended foods; encourage the child to chew properly.

والدین کے لیے مشورہ:

ایک 7 سالہ بچے کو شدید قبض کی شکایت ہوئی، جس کی وجہ سے اس کا فضلہ سخت ہو کر ایک بڑے سانپ (ایناکونڈا) کی شکل اختیار کر گیا۔ رکاوٹ کو دور کرنے کے لیے سرجری کرنی پڑی۔

بچہ اگر 2-3 دن کم کھائے تو یہ اتنا بڑا مسئلہ نہیں، لیکن روزانہ اجابت (پاخانہ) نہ آنا ضرور ایک خطرے کی بات ہے۔

احتیاطی تدابیر:

1. بچے کو زیادہ سے زیادہ پانی اور دیگر مائعات (فلوئیڈز) دیں۔

2. دودھ اور دودھ سے بنی ہوئی اشیاء کم کریں۔

3. بازاری اور پروسیسڈ کھانوں سے پرہیز کریں۔

4. بچے کو سبزیاں اور موسمی پھل کھانے کی عادت ڈالیں۔

5. زیادہ نرم یا بلینڈڈ کھانے دینے سے گریز کریں، بچے کو چبانے کی عادت ڈالیں۔
