As discussed in the previous article , link:

the current work discusses an interdisciplinary research of Maths and Artificial Intelligence.

Beyond Abacus - terminology and framework :

It is a popular myth that maths is only about calculations and that being master at it, is a being a genius in Maths. But, as per the current accepted pedagogy across the globe, maths is perceived as a science of patterns. It involves concept, computation and problem solving as the three key components.

Hence, if a student is not good at fast calculations doesn't mean he's bad at maths per se', which we unfortunately believe strongly and convey it too. It just means that he is bad at only one of the aspects of maths understanding and that too is a skill which can be improved with practice.

What's more important further is, we are blending the latest concepts of Bloom's taxonomy, Constructivism, Multiple Intelligences and others to facilitate maths learning by visualizing, conceptualizing, creating patterns, drawings, measuring, estimating and other key componentsbin building blocks for maths at different levels.

One more take away from this is, the way a child's limitations in maths performance are seen, interpreted, by the teacher. Instead of labelling the kid as cannot improve, basics are weak, can never do well etc, the child is given a specific guideline to work upon.

We encourage the teachers, parents and students in general, to be positive about learning maths, giving ample time to settle the concepts in mind, see interconnections between concepts, topics etc by giving a very positive environment for making learning easy.

More as happens....

On the auspicious occasion of Navratra, we start the series of articles and investigations into Artificial Intelligence and Maths education...
Background music is that in today's world there are many apps that teach maths in many ways, interesting learning but effective diagnosis of a student, his level of understanding of Maths is still clueless for many.
So we, Dr. Prakash Moghe and me, Snehal Prabhune would share insights from various research papers, web articles and other books as to how and why this is being done at Moghe Education Consultancy. Also, for direct communication we are available on mobile number 8085906062

Hold onto your thoughts, let the game begin.

There's so much to say, experience, express, convey, but nowadays we are getting restricted by emojis. I'll explain how. By the way you are right, today's post is on lesser techie and more verbal, oral, facial expressions and communication.
So, what's happening around....
In the era, where there was no language, in the time of Neanderthals, there was sign language, people conveyed by writing by stones on cave walls. It's all in preserved in history. Then, as time passed, communication emerged strongly, travelling to other continents, exchange of thoughts, goods, invention of paper, hence language became a mode of effective communication. Centuries went by and with the invention of electricity and machines, further modernization of humanity took place and we were still communicating well.
Now with the invention of computers and mobiles, it's reach out to everyone on earth, no doubt we all are connected to each other seamlessly... but there are backdrops too.
Talking of grammar mistakes which we now make, in exams is more , because while typing by mobiles we look at our convenience than typography.
Also, laziness is at the utmost, because we are again using sign language or emojis and hence there's higher level of abstraction in understanding. Other person need not necessarily understand the perfect meaning of the emoji sent for the purpose.
So all in all communication is strictly at a high risk if mobile is given to kids at a very young age, they will never learn anything in grammar etc properly and still communicate via emojis...
We should not let that happen, proper handling has to be there :)

I hope you like the article.
Do let me know your thoughts.

Snehal Moghe Prabhune

Implementing artificial intelligence in schools

Schools are incomplete without children and children are incomplete without school education. Now most importantly education's ultimate sources are teachers and parents, hence this is a beautiful ecosystem. There are other compartmentalizes to this ecosystem such as student's interest hobbies indoor and outdoor games favourite subjects personality and such aspects. Personality development, attitudinal growth, empathy ,understanding someone, what others are the saying, doing etc. These aspects are also learnt by an individual with time and are an integral part of our education too.
Also, timely assessment of bookish knowledge in an oral written exam for open /closed exam is a reflection of copy- paste behaviour which is sometime necessary too, while learning fundamentals which don't change for example the sun rises in the east. Similarly fundamentals of maths, physics, chemistry and civics, facts of countries (geography), history, so the ruttafication is necessary too at times.
But asking questions is the question of the hour. How should one ask a question?? It can be 4 + 5 = ? Or 9 - 5= ? or 4 X ? + ?= 9

So it depends on the system to make the questionnaire interesting hence gain attraction of the students towards that subject particularly and if the students remain attentive and alert then only they can be both better educated and developed as all-rounders.

Keeping all these dimensions in mind can we think of a system in which there is a 360 degree development of student throughout the year. This is necessary because contemporary education books, exams, subjects, ruttafy, can only clarify theory till certain level but when a student will appear exam internationally or nationally then he or she will feel cheated or depressed because he or she will not have any grasp of the subject and will not be able to complete any further so we are talking of two things here we are saying

1.sound knowledge of the subject
2.overall 360 degree development of the student

it is often observed that merely qualifying prestigious exams, high ranks isn't enough to lead a normal life, having a good friend circle having good eating, reading, sleeping habits etc. So having a "balanced" temperament towards career goals and achievements is important in one's life. So you must be wondering how can you do that??

One must be a scholar of psychology, education, child psychology and much more to combine the knowledge attained by these professionals and put into a software for analysing a student and then paying hefty fees for consultation.
Naahh!!!!

Scientists have used artificial Intelligence and have developed a product based on premier technology of artificial intelligence and combining knowledge of child psychology and educationists and given results as to what will be the best for the student and opportune moment and indeed nurture their thought processes throughout the year and unfold their dreams and let them soar high up in the sky. These technologies artificial intelligence are nothing but a set of algorithms and programs written as per the rules provided by educationists and psychologists. Hence artificial intelligence has played role of magical Wizard near as we can say... The student answers a set of questions asked by the software and A.I. gives a set of recommendations isn't and magic.

In the end I would like to summarise the Post as every decision has its pros and cons but here there are more pros than cons, so so let go of cons for AI based learning and development paradigm and ignore the cons as there are not so many.

The diagram with the post covers the aspects I've discussed in the above. Psychological aspects of a child, bookish knowledge, self belief and awareness ( it relates to self confidence) and reasoning and logical abilities among children. These all are combinedly tested by the artificial intelligence software developed by big scientists in education- technology primarily called as Ed-tech) companies.
