Vedic Math Workshop
A workshop on Vedic math was conducted in Prestige Institute of Egg. & Science in the dept. of Basic science and humanities on 9th Oct 2012 by Mr. Sanjay Agrawal,a renowned personality in Vedic math,. He has been delivered more than 160 lectures. He explained the students about the tricks which are helpful in solving math's puzzles. Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word-formulae. For example, 'Vertically and crosswise` is one of these Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind naturally works and are therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution. Perhaps the most striking feature of the Vedic system is its coherence. Instead of a hotchpotch of unrelated techniques the whole system is beautifully interrelated and unified.

6. Will Vedic Maths help a student to minimize careless mistakes?
Ans : In Vedic mathematics, the one-line mental formulae have an inbuilt series of verifying methods. Therefore, the chance for a wrong answer is minimized.

5. Will Vedic Maths be useful for higher classes?
Ans : Yes, concepts such as Quadratic Equations, Simultaneous Equations, Trigonometry and even Calculus has been made simple and easier Vedic mathematics.

4. Will it support school curriculum?
Ans : The Vedic Maths methods are parallel and supplemental to the school study. It does not confuse the child. Vedic Maths focus is on mastering the core skills that a child needs: to be successful in secondary education and beyond. The course syllabus can be designed dynamically in tandem with the school curriculum. This helps in developing the mental abilities of a child. Ans : Multiplication tables up to 5 is sufficient to solve a problem in Vedic Maths.
