My Vision: Empowering the Next Generation to Protect Our Planet

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit a school where young students greeted me with smiles full of curiosity and hope. The topic we explored that day was simple, yet deeply transformative — how small, mindful actions can build a sustainable future.

As we gathered around a display of eco-friendly models — solar panels, windmills, and recycled crafts — I asked them, “What does the Earth need from us the most?” After a thoughtful silence, one student replied softly, “Care.” That single word defined the spirit of our conversation.

We discussed the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (RRR) — not as a slogan, but as a way of living. I connected their efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and Goal 13: Climate Action. Each child began to realize that their small acts — conserving water, reusing materials, avoiding plastic, or planting trees — are powerful steps toward global well-being.

As an educationist and thought leader, I firmly believe that sustainability must begin in classrooms, through awareness and action. When young minds learn to see themselves as custodians of the Earth, they develop not only academic intelligence but also planetary consciousness.

At SAGE University, Indore, our mission is not just to create scholars, but responsible global citizens. We aim to nurture leaders who blend innovation with empathy, and progress with preservation. Sustainability, for us, is not merely a part of education — it is the purpose of education.

My vision is to educate, empower, and enable our young generation to become guardians of nature — individuals who live the spirit of RRR every day and inspire others to do the same. If each of us mentors even one child to live sustainably, we will create a movement strong enough to change the world.

🌱 Let us not just teach sustainability — let us live it, lead it, and leave behind a legacy of care.

Today, as we join in the jubilant celebration of Engineers Day, marking the illustrious 162nd Birthday of the venerable Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, I am compelled to extol the exceptional engineers I have had the privilege of encountering. Among these paragons of skill and ingenuity, none shines brighter than the distinguished Er. S. K. Saxena. He graced the zenith of the MPSEB hierarchy, where his tenure was nothing short of remarkable. His visionary leadership spearheaded the electrification of countless rural and urban hamlets, and the establishment of numerous electric substations stands as a testament to his prowess. Moreover, Er. Saxena's instrumental role in the training and mentorship of innumerable employees remains an enduring legacy. In every sense, I am immeasurably proud to call you my father.

Hey friends, as a Hinduism believer, I have my own take on the meaning of life. So, I asked our good friend ChatGPT: "Hey ChatGPT, what's the meaning of life?"
And ChatGPT was like, "Woah, bro. That's a deep question that's been debated for ages. It's all about the purpose, value, and significance of our existence, feel me? Different folks and cultures have different ideas about it based on their beliefs, values, and life experiences."
Some peeps think the meaning of life is to have fun and be happy, while others believe we're here for a certain destiny or purpose. Some may just see life to survive and reproduce, while others may find meaning in spirituality or religion.
But at the end of the day, it's a personal question that each of us gotta answer for ourselves. Our ideas about the meaning of life might change over time as we grow and learn. For me, as a Hindu, the meaning of life is all about dharma, which is our duty or responsibility in life according to Hindu philosophy.
Every person has their own unique dharma based on their work, gender, and life stage. For a truly meaningful and fulfilling life, it's all about fulfilling that dharma.
Hindu sculptures showcase various gods and goddesses with their own unique roles and characteristics. Like, Lord Vishnu is the god who preserves the universe and he's always carrying a conch shell and discus. Goddess Lakshmi is all about wealth and prosperity, while Lord Shiva is known for destroying evil and meditation.
And in Hinduism, the goal of life is to achieve moksha. That's like when we're liberated from the whole cycle of birth and death and can experience eternal bliss. Sounds rad, right?
So, in short, it is all about living out our dharma, seeking spiritual enlightenment, and achieving ultimate liberation. Peace out!
