Holistic development of students owes a great deal to extra-curricular activities including sports which play a vital role along with academics. Shail Group of Institutions (SGI) strongly believes in this tenet and therefore had instituted Shail Trophy, in the year 2012, which encourages school students to actively participate in football and basketball thereby excelling in these games.
The competition evokes huge response as could be gauged by intense competitive spirit displayed by16 boys and 16 girls teams from all over Indore which participated in the event last year.
Continuing with same tradition, SGI is hosting 2013 which was inaugurated on 21st Oct 2013 at the sprawling campus of SGI. 20 football and 32 basket ball teams which also include 16 girl teams are taking part in the tournament this year...

To mark the beginning of Annual Day celebration for the year 2013-14 SGI organized myriad competitions between 30th Sep and 4th Oct. These events brought to fore the enthusiasm and talent of the thousands of students who study at the various institutes run by SGI. Happy Teachers Day ...

The 67th Independence Day of India was celebrated with traditional fervor at the sprawling campus of Shail Group of Institutions. Students, staff and faculty turned up in large numbers despite inclement weather. Sharp at 9:00 am, the National Flag was unfurled by Dr. M. S. Murthy, Director School of Engineering in the presence of Dr. Shilpa Tripathy, Deputy Director, Dr. B. B. Patil, Principal IIMR, and Prof. Umesh Parikh, Principal IIP.
The security guards saluted the ‘Tiranga’ and simultaneously the group of faculty members & other staff members sang the National Anthem.
Dr. Murthy in his address recounted the role of freedom fighters and other leaders who made the dream of Independence come true. Great leaders of our country have since been making immense sacrifices to enliven the spirit of that independence. The Director called upon the student community to strive hard and achieve excellence in academic career and blossom as future leaders of our great country.
A group dance was organized by 2nd & 3rd year girl students who candidly depicted the sacrifice made by brave jawans and their families to upheld independence of our nation. Ms. Akansha Neema and Mr. Utkarsh Upadhyay, first year students, were masters of ceremony and conducted the event with élan

International Women’s Day Celebration at SGI

Women's Day, originally called International Working Women's Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebration ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements. This day is an occasion to review the progress of their struggle for equality, peace and development. Until the men and women work together to secure the rights and full potential of women, lasting solutions for serious social, economic and political problems are unlikely to be found.
Shail Group of Institutions salutes the women for their eminent contribution to society. A health camp for the lady faculty members, students and women from neighboring village of Rangwasa was organized in the campus on 8th March, 2013. Dr Mamta Dashora, renowned gynecologist along with her team of paramedics carried out the health check-up. There was a huge response to the programme which could be gauged by 150 women who thronged the venue and sought expert advice from the doctor.
Dr Shilpa Tripathy, Principal IIST (II), senior most lady member of SGI family encouraged the gathering of women. Ms Aruna Patil, welfare officer, SGI coordinated the event.
