The photo is a little throwback from 2019’ the year it all began. ❤️

Opening a school for children who struggle to learn, children who may not feel safe, understood or included in a mainstream school

it was truly a huge step as a mother.
I knew starting a school would mean much more than classrooms, timetables and lesson plans. It would mean 24/7 commitment late nights planning and worrying, early mornings fixing things, making learning happen, finding ways to bring results, understanding parents’ fears and emotions, educating families, challenging social stigma, finding the right people and building a team that could carry the dream forward.

There were countless late nights, endless conversations, difficult decisions, moments of doubt and days when I wondered, “Are we really going to be able to make this happen?”

And yet, every morning, we showed up again.
Because somewhere along the way, Shridha stopped being just a school. It became a promise, a promise that children who struggle should still have a place where they feel safe, understood, respected and capable. ❤️

And ohh… what a journey it has been.

Today, as we step into our 8th academic session, my heart is filled with gratitude.

Especially for my brother Nivesh Barjatya the one person who could look deep down and understand why I always wanted to create a safe space for children. You understood the dream even when I couldn’t always explain it. ❤️

And to The Gateway Community | Keshavlal V. Bodani Education Foundation The Gateway School of Mumbai thank you for believing, guiding and supporting us. So much of what Shridha has become would not have been possible without you.

From a mother’s dream in 2019 to eight academic sessions of learning, unlearning, late nights, hard work, tears, laughter, beautiful chaos and countless little victories…

Ohh, what a journey. ❤️

Today is not just our school’s birthday.
It is a celebration of every learner, every milestone, every brave attempt, every breakthrough and every person who believed in the Shridha way.

For eight years, we have continued to ask ourselves:
“What if we look beyond limitations and focus on possibilities?”

And our learners have answered us every single day with their courage, their uniqueness and their incredible potential. ✨

As we step into our 8th academic session, we carry with us everything we have learned and everything we still dream of becoming.

On the 80th Independence Day, our learners found every beautiful way to express themselves with heartfelt speeches, patriotic dances, soulful singing, and, above all, the confidence to let their voices be heard. ❤️🇮🇳

At Shridha, we believe every learner has a voice, a strength, and endless possibilities. Today, they reminded us that freedom is also the freedom to express, participate, and shine! ✨

Our learners stepped out of the classroom and into the world of Spider-Man—and oh, what an adventure it was! 🕷️✨

At Shridha, we believe joy is not an extra—it’s an essential part of learning.
Because childhood should be filled with experiences, laughter, excitement and memories that last. 💫

Here’s to learning beyond the classroom… and having a whole lot of fun while doing it! ❤️

Yesterday, was more than an art exhibition, it was a celebration of years of patience, perseverance, and believing in every child’s potential. 💛

It has taken years of consistent effort, countless small steps, and unwavering dedication to see our learners reach this moment. And today, they made us incredibly proud.

At the Petit Pop Kids Exhibition, an Art Exhibition, our learners stepped into the role of young entrepreneurs with confidence and joy. They welcomed visitors, spoke about their products, encouraged purchases, handled money, generated bills, packed orders, and interacted with customers with growing independence.

Each conversation, every smile, and every transaction reflected much more than a skill it reflected courage, confidence, and the power of meaningful learning experiences.

This is why we believe learning must go beyond the classroom. Because independence isn’t taught in a day; it is nurtured over years through trust, opportunities, and real life experiences. We are truly greatful for Ms. Garima Kedia Kedia for giving this wonderful opportunity to our learners.
