✨NAKSHATRA '25 ✨ was a thrilling space-themed weekend, packed with insightful talks and a glimpse into cutting-edge space technology. The exhibition allowed our students to present their projects, while games added a playful touch. Stargazing and a movie night topped off the weekend, leaving us eager for next year's event.

We are delighted to announce Nakshatra, an inspiring event organized by the Astronomy Club in collaboration with the Department of Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Space Engineering, scheduled for 12th October 2025.

✨ What is Nakshatra?
Nakshatra is a celebration of curiosity and innovation, where we explore the space industry, its growing opportunities, and the exciting future of space exploration. The event will begin with informative talks by leading figures from the space industry and scientists from esteemed organizations such as ISRO, providing students valuable insights into how they can be a part of this rapidly evolving sector.

✨ Space-Tech Exhibition
Following the talks, we will host a Space-Tech themed exhibition, where space-related projects will be displayed. This is your chance to participate and showcase your innovations in space technology. Whether it’s a model, a simulation, or research work, every idea counts.

📢 Special Highlight:
Participants will stand a chance to be recognized as the College’s Best Innovator in Space 🌟.

Sunita Williams and her companion astronaut Butch Wilmore returned to Earth on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 after being stranded on the International Space Station for nine months.

Mr. Wilmore and Ms. Williams ended up spending 286 days in space — 278 days longer than anticipated when they launched. They circled Earth 4,576 times and travelled 121 million miles (195 million kilometers).

This remarkable feat made Sunita Williams the second person to spend the most days in space, adding up to a total of 608 days.
