Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has announced a collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to undertake a mass communication campaign‘ ’ / ’ and to inform and empower the general public against COVID-19.
The mass media campaign, titled ‘ ’ / ’ will have simple yet powerful 5 and 15 second informative assets to empower the general public with prevention strategies to protect themselves against COVID-19. Based on three key themes - social distancing, handwashing and generosity, the campaign will generate these short informative assets across India through television, news portals and prominent social media channels.
Sanjiv Mehta, chairman and managing director, Hindustan Unilever Limited, said, “We need to come together as a nation and be supportive of each other during this crisis. Our campaign will help address these challenges and at scale. Along with UNICEF, we are also committed to working with the government and making essentials like Lifebuoy soaps, hand sanitizers and Domex cleaners available across a wide geography which is the most critical need today.”

National Safe Motherhood Day (NSMD) is observed annually on 11 April to raise awareness about the proper healthcare of women and maternity facilities to pregnant and lactating women.
The theme of 2019 NSMD is "Midwives for Mothers". And in 2018 NSMD theme was ‘Respectful Maternity Care’.
This day also raise awareness for the prevention of child marriages, that may be an indirect cause of maternal deaths.
About National Safe Motherhood Day (NSMD.):
♦️ This day is an initiative of the White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI) to provide women with various healthcare programs during pregnancy, childbirth and post-natal services.
♦️ This day is first celebrated in 2003.
♦️ 11 April is the anniversary day of Kasturba Gandhi's birth.

♦️ Approximately 830 women die every day from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth.

The Liaquat–Nehru Pact (or the Delhi Pact) was a bilateral treaty between the two South-Asian states of India and Pakistan, where refugees were allowed to return to dispose of their property, abducted women and looted property were to be returned, forced conversions were unrecognized, and minority rights were confirmed. The treaty was signed in New Delhi by the Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan on April 8, 1950. The treaty was outcome of six days of talks sought to guarantee the rights of minorities in both countries after the Partition of India and to avert another war between them.
Minority commissions were set up in both countries. More than one million refugees migrated from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) to West Bengal in India. Follow- for more updates.

During the joint military exercise SAMPRITI-IX a Command Post Exercise (CPX) and a Field Training Exercise (FTX) will be conducted. For both the CPX and FTX, a scenario where both nations are working together in a Counter Terrorism environment will be simulated under the UN Charter. The FTX curriculum is progressively planned where the participants will initially get familiar with each other’s organizational structure and tactical drills. Subsequently, joint tactical exercise will be conducted wherein the battle drills of both the armies will be practiced. The training will culminate with a final validation exercise in which troops of both armies will jointly practice a Counter Terrorist Operation in a controlled and simulated environment.
In addition, to understand each other at tactical level, greater cultural understanding will be emphasized to strengthen military trust and cooperation between two nations.
