Prestige University Vice Chancellor Prof. Keyoor Purani recently contributed to a national conversation on the role of artificial intelligence in learning in a multi-expert feature published by India Today.

In the article, Prof. Purani highlights three key perspectives in the debate on AI and learning:
1. Concerns about cognitive offloading must be understood in the context of education systems that have long prioritized information retrieval over meaning-making.
2. AI has largely exposed and accelerated this existing tendency, rather than creating it.
3. If AI-generated responses can easily pass academic evaluation, the issue lies equally in assessment design and pedagogical practices, not just the technology.

Dr. Sharma brings over three decades of leadership experience across leading organizations, combined with strong academic credentials and research expertise. He has recently completed his Ph.D. in Marketing with a specialization in Omnichannel Retailing, strengthening his research contributions in cross-channel integration, customer experience, CRM, and data-driven marketing strategy.

At Prestige University, Dr. Sharma will contribute to bridging industry practice with academic rigor, enriching student learning through applied insights, real-world cases, and research-driven perspectives.
