IIT Indore is organizing a 5 days IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Summer School on "Deep Learning and Computational Intelligence: Theory and Applications" during December 12-16, 2022. Details of the IEEE CIS Summer School are available at

The objective of this summer school is to provide a unique platform for young researchers, professionals, and students from all around the world in the recent developments and applicability of deep learning (DL) with computational intelligence (CI). The school will bring people working in CI and DL domains to a common platform for generating innovative ideas. The school will also assess the state of the art on what new directions lie open for research in the areas of CI and DL. In this way, the school will generate exciting new communication across various CI, DL and machine learning disciplines. This summer school features a number of distinguished speakers on DL and CI which will be helpful for researchers and participants.

Prof. Narasimhan Sundararajan visited IIT Indore from 8th to 10th of September 2022. He was the speaker for the entire workshop on "How to Improve Your Research Skills" which was being organized by the office of international relations coordinated by Dr. M. Tanveer. This workshop has profoundly helped the research scholars in conducting their research works in an exemplary manner for sure.

Prof. Narasimhan Sundararajan is a Ph.D. graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, post which he worked in the Indian Space Research Organization, Trivandrum, India as a Control System Designer to Director, Launch Vehicle Design Group contributing to the design and development of the Indian satellite launch vehicles SLV3, ASLV, PSLV and GSLV. His major achievements include working as the Project Engineer (Mission) for the first Indian Satellite Launch Vehicle project SLV3 team working directly under Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, he has been an NRC Research Associate at NASA - Ames in 1974 and a Senior NRC Research Associate at NASA Langley in 1981-86 under the National Academy of Sciences, USA program as well. Then, he worked in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as a professor and retired from that position.
