One-Day Free Eye Check-up Camp at NIT Manipur 👁️

On September 4th, 2025, NIT Manipur partnered with Medilane Foundation to host a one-day free eye check-up camp for students, faculty, and staff. The purpose was to identify and address vision problems and eye strain. A team of seven from Medilane Foundation, along with staff from the institute’s Health and Wellness Centre, screened 133 participants (90 students and 43 staff). Attendees received guidance on corrective measures and gained awareness about the importance of eye health and early detection.

National Sports Day Celebrated at NIT Manipur on 29th August 2025

National Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Program (Organized by the National Institute of Technology Manipur)

On 22nd August 2025, a one-day lecture and screening session on the National Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Program was successfully organized at the National Institute of TechnologyAugust 22,, Manipur, in collaboration with the State TB Unit, Intermediate Reference Laboratory (IRL), and District TB Center, Imphal West. The event aimed to raise awareness among students, faculty, and staff about the importance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of TB as part of India’s goal to eliminate the disease by 2025. A total of 35 members participated in the program, which included an informative lecture by medical experts from the District TB Unit, followed by an engaging interactive session. A free TB screening camp was also conducted, offering voluntary testing and counselling for the attendees. The initiative played a vital role in sensitizing the academic community and promoting public health consciousness within the NIT campus.
