ology, Agartala as its mentor institute and tremendous support from the State Govt. of Manipur, NIT, Manipur started its first session on 1st August, 2010. The Institute has been established under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989. Campus:
Manipur is in the eastern most part of India. It is one of the loveliest spots in the world. The temporary campus of NIT, Manipur is located at the campus of Government Polytechnic, Imphal which is only 1km far from the permanent site. The temporary campus provides well furnished hostel accommodation with round the clock power supply, water supply and internet facilities. NIT, Manipur has a permanent site of 138.2 hectares in the lush green area of Langol in Imphal.

Saurabh Verma is NIT Manipur Alumni (2010-14 Batch), an extra ordinary student who after B.Tech, chooses to pursue Civil services met with cancer on the way, Giant cell tumor in L4 (Spine ) body, on this difficult time, the NIT Manipur family is with you, we will not let you fall.

It was 2010, when many young students aged 16 to 18 from far reaching Andhra, Rajsthan, UP, Gujrat left their janmbhumi and traveled more than 2500 KM to reach Manipur and made Imphal their karmabhumi.
We started our journey from zero, while many of new NITs were supervised and accommodated by their mentor NIT, we were left in polytechnic campus. We fought together many times to shift us to our mentor NIT Silchar and we failed all the times.
We have seen NIT Manipur growing. People of Manipur is as beautiful as their weather.
I left Manipur in 2014, it's been 4 years I am yet to return. My love for Manipur is unconditional. Manipur gave me many people who shaped my life, they are the asset of my life, my earning. I bow to the land of Manipur, their people.
