Rebuilding Hope: The Resilience of DM Memorial School, C. Zoulen Village

Located in C. Zoulen Village, Saikul Sub-Division, our school once thrived with 140 enrolled students (till 2023). However, tragedy struck:
- On May 3, 2023, our school was brutally burnt down by Meiteis.
- Displaced, our villagers sought refuge at L. Songtun Relief Camp, grappling with trauma.

Despite adversity:
- Displaced parents initially enrolled their children in nearby private schools.
- However, struggling to afford tuition fees, they turned to Pu Manggun for help.

With compassion and determination:
- Pu Manggun, despite having nothing left, restarted the school in 2024.
- Dedicated to God, he utilized available infrastructure at L. Songtun Relief Camp.

Today:
- Pre-Nursery to Class 5, with 110 students.
- Free education for displaced students; nominal fees (Rs. 250) for non-displaced students.
- Village Elders, Parents, and Teachers unite to nurture young minds.
