1. The strategy of DIvide and Rule was adopted by Lord Minto. The British Government anticipating danger from the side of Indians in the near future because of the growth of unity under the spell of nationalism decided to apply the policy of ' Divide and Rule' to break the unity of the people.

2. The Divide and Rule policy is a strategy that was used by the British during colonial rule in India. This policy was used to keep the Indians divided so that they would be easier to control. The British used this policy to create divisions among the different religious groups, castes, and ethnicities.

3. It's a military strategy which is to divide and conquer.

4. To make a group of people disagree and fight with one another so that they will not join together against one.

5. The 'divide and conquer' strategy involves causing division among individuals to weaken them, making them easier to manipulate or control, or possibly giving the manipulator a leg up on competition.
