The man whose case in d SC resulted in d formulation of d famous doctrine of d "Basic Structure of the Constitution" passed away. There are certain core values enshrined in the Constitution like d right to life, secularism, democracy, right to freedom of religion etc which together form d basic structure of d Constitution. D parliament cannot alter or destroy d basic structure through constitutional amendments.
