We are pleased to share the successful completion of the “Skill Development Training Program for Retail Outlet Roof Top Solar Installer – Oil & Gas” conducted during April 07–12, 2026 at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

This intensive program brought together participants to build hands-on expertise in rooftop solar installation, with a focus on retail outlet applications. The training aimed to strengthen technical capabilities, promote sustainable energy adoption, and support India’s transition towards cleaner energy solutions.

The program was sponsored by the Indian Oil Corporation and coordinated by Prof. Soumitra Satapathi, whose guidance and leadership played a key role in its successful ex*****on.

Throughout the program, participants engaged in interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and discussions led by domain experts, enabling them to gain both conceptual clarity and real-world insights.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants, instructors, and organizing teams for their enthusiastic involvement and contributions to making this program a success.

The Continuing Education Centre (CEC), Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee successfully conducted an intensive Training Program on “System Engineering” from February 17–28, 2026, at the institute campus.

This specialized programme was exclusively designed for scientists from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), focusing on emerging developments, advanced applications, and contemporary research trends in System Engineering. The sessions were structured to blend theoretical foundations with practical insights, fostering meaningful knowledge exchange.

The programme reflects CEC IIT Roorkee’s continued commitment to capacity building, technological advancement, and strengthening national research and defence capabilities.

We are delighted to share the completion of the AICTE QIP PG Certificate Program on Wireless Technology and IoT at IIT Roorkee – a comprehensive six-month faculty development program (June–December 2025) tailored for faculty members from core engineering disciplines in AICTE-approved institutions.

This initiative is designed to empower educators with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in cutting-edge areas like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML).

Continuing Education Centre, IIT Roorkee successfully organized a Five-Day Training Programme for the Chemistry Teachers of PM SHRI Schools of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) from November 10 –14, 2025 at the IIT Roorkee campus.

This program was sponsored by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The initiative aimed to strengthen subject knowledge, enhance modern pedagogical skills, and promote hands-on learning for Chemistry educators across NVS schools.
