At HEWS, creating a safe learning environment goes beyond supervision. It means equipping our educators with the practical knowledge and confidence to respond when it matters.

Our teachers recently came together for a First Aid Training session — learning, practising and preparing themselves to respond calmly and responsibly when a child may need immediate support.

Because safety isn’t just a checklist.
It’s a culture of care, awareness and preparedness.
And when children feel safe, they have the freedom to explore, play, question, make mistakes and discover the world around them. 🌱

What if weather wasn’t something children were told about…
but something they could explore? 🌦️

At our Weather Workshop, little questions turned into experiments, observations, conversations and discoveries.

☁️ How are clouds formed?
🌧️ Where does rain come from?
🌬️ What makes the weather change?

They wondered.
They explored.
They tried.
And somewhere along the way, learning happened.

Because when children experience an idea for themselves, learning becomes more than something they remember — it becomes something they understand. 💙

Last weekend at HEWS, our little Weather Detectives explored, observed, questioned and discovered the world of weather through hands-on experiences.

From spotting clouds and understanding weather patterns to creating, experimenting and asking plenty of “But why?” — learning happened naturally, one curious question at a time. 🌦️

Because at HEWS, we believe some of the best learning begins with simply letting children wonder. 💙
