ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education conducting National Seminar on Healthcare Management at IFHE Campus on 3rd June, 2016.
Healthcare includes various stakeholders such as hospitals, pharmaceuticals and biotech life sciences, medical instrumentation and devices, diagnostics, IT and other services, regulatory bodies and the State. By and large these stakeholders have been functioning in silos till date. Literature review and expert views indicate that healthcare is undergoing a ‘Once in a life time’ transition across t
he world. Driven by forces of consumerism, technology, regulation, social inequity and economics in a globalized world, countries and stakeholders have begun to adapt to varying degrees in improving their healthcare services. The broad direction of the transition is integration and increased participation of various industries/ stakeholders keeping the patient at the center with an aim to provide access, value, convenience, affordability, quality and sustainability. In this context the Faculty of Management Studies of IFHE is launching the fully online Modular and Certificate programs in Healthcare Management to address the need of skilled professionals in this area. Wheel of change in Healthcare
Driving forces of change in healthcare include consumerism, technology, regulation, social inequity and economics. These are forcing stakeholders such as hospitals, pharma, medical devices, IT, patients and the state to increase integration, collaboration and participation. In turn patient centricity and sustainability of healthcare are evolving as key challenges.
