Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME), MGIT has organized an invited talk of Dr. K V Vamsi, Assistant Professor, IIT Indore on The Design of L12 Precipitate Strengthened Alloys on October 25, 2024 in MGIT.

The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year MME students attended this technical lecture.

In his talk, Dr. Vamsi engaged with aspiring engineers, sharing insights into his academic journey from student to faculty and the advanced research he leads within the Virtual Alloys Modelling, Simulation & Informatics (VAMSI) Research Group. He spoke to the students about the design principles behind precipitate-strengthened materials, focusing on high-temperature applications. Highlighting his work on L1₂ precipitate-strengthened Ni-based superalloys, Dr. Vamsi elaborated on the intricate challenges and exciting opportunities in the design and development of materials tailored for extreme environments. His visit offered an inspiring glimpse into the forefront of high-temperature materials design

Department of MME extends its heartful thanks to *Dr. Raghuveer, 2004 MME,* and currently *Senior Product Manager, Silex Microsystems, Swedan* for delivering a talk on "My journey of 2 Decades" on sept 12, 2024, during his recent short trip to India.
In his talk, he shared his experiences in the journey from MMT to his current position.
In his talk , he motivated the students by giving advices how to make decisions when one is at a crossroads and suggested how to plan the future after B. Tech.
It's really a great experience for the students.
