A recent visit to Tara Theatre in South London. Three short plays under development, three writers, three actors. An inspirational, highly challenging and very funny evening. And that’s not easy to pull off. Some of the most compelling drama I’ve seen for a long time.

Play 1 featured an Indian Oxford educated advocate up against the Maharajah’s court, where she is defending an elephant (you had to be there). A well-timed quote from Gandhi
ignites a crisis of conscience.
Play 2, script reading for a new film. The star, the rising star, Curry and Chips.
Play 3 we’re in a London nightclub as a gay young man from a northern town tries to hide before assistance arrives.
Amazing evening, congratulations all round, highest quality acting.
