Pepsico, Inc. subsidiary PepsiCo India Holdings Private Limited is planning to invest heavily on trade channels, including e-commerce to increase its sales in the coming years. The company has made profitable growth after seven years in financial year in 2017-18. Previously, the company made profits in 2010-2011. The loss for the past seven years was due to changing consumer preferences for healthier drinks. It's key competitors include Dabur, Coca-Cola, Parle and ITC.

E-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm have had a good festive season so far and have clocked billions of dollars worth of sale. The shoppers showed interest on attractive offers available on these platforms. These trend is likely to continue till Diwali as these platforms continue to present more offers.

Flipkart has made record-breaking sales across various categories, including large appliances, mobile phones, and private labels from across the country.during the five-day sales festival on October 10-14.
Amazon has added 80 percent of new customers from small towns shopped on the company's platform for the first time during this sale during its great Indian festival celebration from October 10-15.

FedEx Corp. (FedEx) is planning to charge customers more during the busiest shipping, to aim profit more from the surge in online shopping. FedEx rival United Parcel Service Inc., said that it is planning to impose surcharges on holidays during shipping rush in November and December.

Vendors on ecommerce platforms to register on GSTN (Goods and Service Tax Network) network
Ecommerce companies such as Swiggy, Flipkart and Amazon are very much concerned about the business of GST which is going to rollout on July 1st 2017. The vendors on ecommerce platform who are selling their products have to pay tax to the ecommerce companies. The online ecommerce platform companies have to mandatorily collect tax from any payment they make to supplier.
