It is with deep sorrow we would like to inform you all about the sad demise of Prof. Narendra Kumar Bansal, Father of Energy Simulation in India, passed away today morning.
He was founder of knowledge stream in Building Energy Simulation in India and a big supporter of building energy efficiency, passive design and host of research areas.
He started simulation in his research group at IITD, way back in early 90s, when many were not even using computers.
He was exemplary teacher and superlative mentor.
He has been a true well wisher for all of his students and many of us are what we are because of him only.
He will be living with us through many books and articles that are widely referred, and more importantly, in our memories.
True tribute to him can be by propagating knowledge of building energy efficiency in India.
