Our students participated in a seeding and harvesting activity on campus. Each class sowed Palak, Methi, potatoes, corn and radish and later harvested the crops. Every student has their name on a drum filled with soil, where they plant their seeds and take responsibility for nurturing and caring for them.

It was a truly memorable day for all of us as Aamir Khan, renowned actor, filmmaker and social changemaker, visited our school campus. He spent time painting with our students, participated in our Sanskrit class and interacted warmly with the school team.
In a meaningful conversation, he shared a powerful thought:
"Teachers have the ability to influence generations and shape the future of society."
This insight reminded us of the powerful role teachers play in shaping how students speak, think and connect with the world around them. In conversation with the children, he encouraged them to choose things in life that genuinely mean something to them.
Children also reflected on the meaning of the title of his new movie, Sitaare Zameen Par (Stars on Earth), sharing what they would feel if the stars came to Earth; a reflection we presented to him as a memento. He spent nearly an hour with us, deeply connecting with our mission and our children.
We are grateful for the inspiration and joy he brought to our school!

At HIS, we believe children learn best when their work feels real and purposeful.
Our In-House Authors’ Shelf celebrates our young writers. This year, Primary children have created and ‘published’ their own poems and stories, now proudly displayed in our classroom library.
By sharing their work with others, they build confidence, develop writing skills and experience the joy of meaningful learning.

At HIS, we take a skills-based approach to learning to read, write and spell.
It all begins in Pre-KG with pre-reading skills and grows throughout the school as children enjoy fun, playful activities designed to build their understanding of letter patterns and sounds.
This week, our Primary learners explored phonic tiles to encode and decode words, helping them think about how words are built and boosting their confidence and independence as readers and spellers.
