Pink is the color of a namesake flower that is a pale tint of red. It was first used as a color name in the late 17th century. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity, and romance.
This is the classic “pale red pink,” a perfect balance of red and white. Even classic “pale red pink” has different shades and intensities. If you add white, pink grows calm and soft. If you add red, pink becomes more intense.
The color pink is the color of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, compassion, nurturing and approachability. Both red and pink represent love. The color red represents heat and passion, while the color pink represents romance.
As a part of Pink Colour Day celebration, the tiny buds of Pre-Primary came dressed up in pink. They were looking the cutest as always. They brought balloons and other things in pink colour and some of them spoke a few words about it.It was a beautiful day with a pinkish atmosphere all around.

"A NATION'S GREATNESS LIES IN HOW ITS PEOPLE UPHOLD THE VALUES OF ITS CONSTITUTION."
Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January to honor the day when the constitution of lndia came into force in 1950.The historic day marks lndia's transformation into a sovereign, socialist
, secular and democratic republic. The lndian Constitution guarantees justice, liberty, equality and fraternity to all the citizens of lndia.
Republic day is not merely a day off,but a moment of national pride and reflection. The President of India, as the constitution head unfurls the National Flag, accompanied by the National Anthem and a 21-guns salute on this occasion.Republic Day parade is held at Kartavya Path at New Delhi, showcasing lndia's military forces.Soldiers, paramilitary forces and school students participate in the parade with great discipline and patriotism.Tableaux from different states displays lndia's rich heritage, tradition and achievements.
On this day,we pay tribute to the freedom fighters and leaders who sacrificed their lives for lndia's independence and unity. On August 29, 1947, a drafting committee was appointed with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as the chairman. The assembly took 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days to complete the document. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was sworn in as the first President of India at the Durbar Hall in Government House.Ours is the world's longest constitution, originally with 395 Articles.
On 15th August,we hoist the flag, which means raising the flag from the bottom to the top of the pole whereas on 26th January,we unfurl the flag which means opening of the flag that's already fixed at the top of the pole. The Prime minister hoists the flag at Red Fort on 15th August marking the nation's independence from colonial rule and the President unfurls the Flag at Kartavya Path on 26th January, celebrating the adoption of the constitution.
Republic day teaches us to love our country and to follow the rules of the constitution.Proud to be an lndian.

Sankranti is one of the main festival of the Hindu and is dedicated to the Sun God. It also refers to a specific Solar day in the Hindu calendar. On this auspicious day, the sun enters the zodiac sign of the Capricorn or Makar, which marks the end of winter month and start of longer days.
It marks the first day of the sun's transit into makar.
Makar Sankranti is the day from which Northward movement of the sun begins.
Different parts of the country celebrate the festival differently and calls the festival with different names but the ultimate aim of the festival remains the same throughout the country. The true aim of the festival is to be respectful to others and to live our life in peace and harmony with others.
The typical celebration of Makar Sankranti in our State takes place for 3 days. The first day is Bhogi. The second day is Sankranti and the third day is Kanumu.
On the first day of Bhogi, people get up early and raise a fire, burning all the old waste materials to bid farewell to winter.
The streets are kept clean and women make rangolis. In the evening, bhogi pallu are poured on children for their good health.
The next day is Sankranti and Pongal. It is a day of festive sweet food which is prepared with new rice, new jaggery and fresh milk in new pots. The sweet is offered to the Sun god and also to the forefathers.
The third day that is Kanumu is a day meant for cattle. All cattles are worshipped on this day. In the evening c**k fight and Bull race are being conducted though they are not worshipped.
Sankranti is also called a farmer's festival. Farmers rejoice as they cut their crops and sell .
People of all age groups fly kites on this day.
Our Pre Primary children also celebrated the festival today by wearing different traditional costumes .They made beautiful and colourful kites and other art and craft things related to the festival.
