Andhra Vidyalaya Education Society At its genesis the college was conceived on a small scale to offer limited traditional courses in Intermediate and Degree.
A.V.Education Society started A.V.College of Arts, Science & Commerce in the year 1968 for meeting the growing needs of higher education in the region. The college owes its existence to the initiative and untiring efforts of its founding fathers Sri K.V.Ranga Reddy and Sri J.V.Narsing Rao both former deputy chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh. Introduction of the Department
The AV. College PG library is established in the year 1991 with MBA & MCA books and central facility to support teaching and learning activities. The library has a collection of more than twenty three thousand eight hundred (23811) books in Management, Computers, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry Commerce, Biotechnology and Telugu studies around worth of Rs. 50 lakhs. The library subscribes to more than 120 Journals & periodicals popular newspapers for the benefit of the students and faculty. All the in-house activities like issue, return, searching OPAC and technical works like cataloguing, classification and barcode of the books in the library is also fully automated by using DELPLUS 2.0 Library software and ALARM library software.
The library has a common reading room with a seating capacity of more than 100 students can seat at once.
The library was established in the year 1991
The Institute has established a spacious Library & Information Centre in an independent building with an area of 4,500 Sft. Spread over three floors.
The ground floor is accommodating Undergraduate library
The first floor is accommodating Reference Section and Reading Room
The Second floor is accommodating Library Book stacks
It has a reading capacity of 100 students
It is having the collection of more than 23800 volumes
