Did you know that every year, 8th march is celebrated as International Women's Day throughout the world? On this occasion, let's see what Ms. Madeeha Noorien from Creekside International School has to say about "Women in science X
“I am among those who think that science has a great beauty” - Marie curie
Who says girls can’t go into science and technology? Why only boys can go into science? Why? Why?
Many people think there was not women scientist and engineers until the early modern times, but actually, women have participated for over 3000 years in those fields of study. In India, during the early 20th century, women’s contribution to science faced much of the same challenges as they did in the West.
While we know about the priceless contribution of great scientists like C V Raman, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, many of us are un-aware of the contributions of Indian women in the field of science. Here is information about some Indian women who contributed to the field of science.

On world literacy day today, have a look at the article written by Suhaib Ahmed Khan, an Intermediate second-year student, about education with technology in today's world due to the circumstances presented by the ongoing pandemic.
“Catch you after the holidays chap! Make sure to complete your homework and stay in touch....” I, along with my best friend Abdul bid goodbyes and walked down home. Soon, we were discussing the next season of IPL and planning for night outs. Little did
we know about the pandemic which was yet to come. Abdul was the eldest among his 6 siblings and lived in Solanpur, a small town about 5 km from our school. He was well-known for his quick-wittedness and was always the first to solve math problems.
He always secured the first position in the class and never missed an opportunity to learn some opportunity to learn something new.
One sunny day, we got a piece of sudden news that our classes would resume online considering a deadly contagious virus. My heart leaped as I thought of classes with no particular uniform wherein, I could relax with my video game nearby. Soon, the classes began and I could imagine my friends lying on their couches with the TV on. However, there was something that constantly disturbed me. My friend, Abdul was never present in any of the classes. A week passed, then another two, and I started getting bothered. I just couldn’t figure out the reason why such a bright student would neglect classes.
Fortunately, one day, my dad was about to go to Rampur, a village just 2 miles away from Solanpur for some commercial work. I pleaded my father to take me along and leave me for an hour at Abdul’s place. Reluctantly, dad left me then at Solanpurand left for Rampur. I was walking into his lane when I heard a loud shout behind me. I turned and saw that it was none other than my dear friend Abdul. He welcomed me with open hands and invited me to a hut nearby. It was a humble abode with as many as 20 children. We then talked for an hour about our daily lives. One thing that struck me was that he never spoke a word about his studies. Soon, it was getting dark and my dad was yet to come. It was then that I asked him about his absence in daily classes.
