Field Visit to Solar Power Plant Visit at MVSREC

The IEEE MVSR Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE MVSR PES Student Chapter, EESA, and IIC MVSREC, organized a field visit to the Solar Power Plant at MVSREC on 25th February 2025. This initiative aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to renewable energy systems and their real-time operations. By observing the practical implementation of solar technology, students gained valuable insights into solar power generation, installation, and maintenance processes.

Awareness Program on IEEE Membership

The program started with a warm welcome by Mr. K. Rajesh Kumar, IIC EEED Coordinator, who greeted the attendees and set a positive tone for the session. Following this, Dr. Y. Laxmi Narasimha Rao, IEEE MVSR PES Faculty Advisor, shared insights into the various activities undertaken by the IEEE MVSR PES Student Chapter, emphasizing its role in skill development and networking.

Mr. N. Bharat Mohan, Assistant Professor, EEED, then took the stage to introduce the esteemed guest speaker, Dr. D. Hari Krishna, and officially handed over the session to him.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The IEEE MVSR Student Branch and the IEEE MVSR PES Student Chapter, SESREC, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) MVSREC, took a meaningful step toward nurturing young minds by organizing an outreach program for the students of ZPH School, Badangpet, on 7th February 2025. This thoughtful initiative was designed to spread awareness about the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship among school students, aiming to spark their curiosity and inspire them to dream big.

Membership Support for MATLAB / SIMULINK SOFTWARE
The membership support program for MATLAB/Simulink software has been highly beneficial for
the students. The software has helped students to develop a deeper understanding of complex
concepts, improve their problem-solving skills, and prepare for their future careers. We look
forward to continuing our collaboration with MathWorks and providing this valuable resource to
our students.

the insights on the importance of MATLAB Software

IEEE Day – Empowering Technology for Humanity

IEEE MVSR SB in collaboration with its student chapters of IEEE societies like Power and Energy
Group has celebrated IEEE Day on 4th October. IEEE MVSR SB has conducted various talks on
Empowering Technology for Humanity as a part of IEEE Day celebrations in
MVSREC, Hyderabad.

Dr. D. Hari Krishna, IEEE MVSR SB Counsellor has welcomed everyone with IEEE Day wishes
and informed about the IEEE Day Celebrations and Benefits of IEEE.

The event was successful with the active participation of student and faculty and concluded with
the vote of thanks by Mr. Siddi Manikanta, IEEE MVSR SB Membership head.

IEEE – Shaping the Future of Technology

IEEE MVSR SB in collaboration with IEEE MVSR PES SC, IEEE MVSR CS SC, IEEE MVSR CASS SC and IEEE MVSR WIE AG has conducted an awareness and professional development program from 10th to 13th September 2024 with the title “IEEE - Shaping the Future of Technology” for the first year engineering students.

Poster Presentation on INNOVATION AND START UPs

On **30th August 2024**, the **Department of EEE**, in collaboration with **IEEE MVSR SB, IEEE MVSR PES SC, IIC, and EESA**, organized a **Poster Presentation Competition on “Innovation and Startups”** at MVSR Engineering College. Judges **Dr. D. Venu Madhava Chary** and **Dr. P.V.V. Rama Rao** evaluated participants’ ideas and posters. The event was smoothly coordinated by **Dr. D. Hari Krishna, Mr. K. Rajesh Kumar, Mr. B. Rama Krishna, and Mr. Y. Laxmi Narasimha Rao**. Judges shared insights on transforming ideas into designs, and winners received Merit Certificates. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by **Mr. K. Rajesh Kumar**.

POSTER PRESENTATION COMPETITION ON INNOVATION DESIGN

On 3rd February 2024, IEEE MVSR SB, in collaboration with IEEE MVSR PES SC, IIC, EESA, and SESREC, organized a **Poster Presentation Competition on Innovation Design** at MVSR Engineering College. The event aimed to foster creativity, innovation, and presentation skills among students. Dr. C.V. Gopala Krishna Rao and Dr. D. Venumadhava Chary judged the competition, evaluating participants’ ideas and posters. Organizing members, including Dr. P.V.V. Rama Rao and Dr. D. Hari Krishna, ensured smooth ex*****on. Winners received Merit Certificates and IEEE goodies. The event concluded with appreciation for participants and organizers, inspiring students to develop more innovative ideas.
