Who is Mr Gator?🐊
He's a playful way introduce the concept of greater than and less than.
Instead of beginning with mathematical symbols, children first experience the idea through characters and play. Mr Gator always opens his mouth towards the bigger number, helping children understand comparison before they memorise the symbols.
Once the idea becomes familiar, introducing the symbols (< and >) feels much more natural.

As part of their Human Physiology lessons, our Grade 7 students created a tooth model and a working diaphragm model to explore the structure and function of the human body.

By building these models with their own hands, they observed, questioned, and connected ideas in a meaningful way. Because when learning is experienced, understanding becomes lasting.

In Waldorf education, art is a way of understanding the world. It encourages children to observe more carefully, imagine more freely, and express their experiences with confidence.

As part of their ongoing Plant Block, our Grade 5 & 4 students visited Forest Trek Park and Gandipet Park to observe plants in their natural environment. They sketched what they saw, noticed details that are easy to overlook, and discussed their observations together. Concepts grow from direct experience, helping children build knowledge that is both meaningful and lasting.

These moments of observation and reflection form the foundation for deeper understanding in Waldorf education.
