Bhavans New Sciences Arts & Commerce College Narayanaguda

New Science College (Evening), Narayanaguda, Hyderabad was established in the year 1964 as a second wing of the popular New Science College. As evident by the high enrollment ratio of Arts & Commerce courses in the early 1960s, the State Government as well as the University Grants Commission encouraged the establishment of evening colleges in a big way to employees interested to pursue higher studies in regular colleges. Further the Government of Andhra Pradesh appointed D.S. Reddy Committee to look into the problems of aided colleges and suggest measures to strengthen public funds for higher education. The committee recommended 100% grant-in-aid to colleges to meet the salaries of both teaching and non-teaching staff. Prompted by the decision of the government to admit the colleges into grant-in-aid, New Science College.
