Stories Between the Pages — A Beautiful Beginning
Stories Between the Pages was a beautiful kickstart to a wonderful evening ,a gentle invitation to slow down, listen, reflect, and connect through the power of a story.
We began by stepping into a powerful story that made us pause and look beyond the words on the page. And then came the most beautiful part - the reflections of our amazing audience.
Everyone brought their own perspective, emotions, questions and interpretations into the room. What began as one story slowly unfolded into many different stories, shaped by each person's experiences and way of seeing.
And then, we gave our thoughts a shape through art.
Some chose colours and images to express what stayed with them. Some put their thoughts into words. Some explored the idea of freedom, dreams and wishes. And some created powerful visual metaphors ,cages, open spaces, birds, pathways and possibilities.
The room became a space where we could think freely, express without judgement and listen to perspectives different from our own.
There were questions.
There were conversations.
There were moments of silence.
There was laughter.
And there were those little “I never thought of it that way” moments.
Most importantly, it felt like a safe space to share, listen and simply be.
A story became a doorway.
Art became another language.
And conversation helped us see the story and perhaps ourselves from a few different angles.
This is exactly what I hoped Stories Between the Pages would be.
Not just a book discussion.
Not just storytelling.
But a space to Connect, Reflect, Converse, Create.
And what a beautiful way to begin.
Thank you to everyone who came, opened their hearts and minds, and added their own colours to the evening.
This is only the beginning of our journey between the pages.
