COVID-19, one of the deadliest pandemics of modern history has devastated the lives and livelihoods of millions of people across the world. One of the most impacted categories of people is students. Incoming students (1st year) of VNR are no exception. Few students from economically disadvantaged families coupled with COVID devastation made them move into a state of oblivion as far as managing their financial needs are concerned. Given the pandemic, to begin their graduate degree through online classes necessities them to buy a laptop.

About 50 students are looking for financial support to buy laptops and stay abreast with their ongoing classes. Through this campaign, we are reaching to you all to humbly request your support on behalf of alumni of VNRVJIET to help students come out of this entry barrier by providing them with laptops.

We are glad to inform you that our 20th Alumni Homecoming Day, YUGMA 2K18 is scheduled on December 15, 2018.We request your gracious presence on the occasion and make it a memorable one.

Sekhar Kammula is an award winning, director, film writer & producer based in Hyderabad, India. His proficient film production company Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd which actualized in 1999 is the banner under which he directed most of his remarkable films like Dollar Dreams, which bagged a National Film Award for the Best First Film of a Director that year, heartwarming movies like ‘Anand’ and ‘Godavari’ which were commercially triumphant as well, penetrative and zealous movies like ‘Happy Days’ and ‘Life is Beautiful’, a downright perceptively sublime film like ‘Leader’ and more. Sekhar Kammula’s movies are considered to be path breaking and he is lauded as the instigator of the new wave of Telugu films.
We are glad to announce that at TEDxVNRVJIET, Sekhar Kammula will be spreading his worthy ideas.

Bhushan Reddy (VNR Alumnus) - It was pleasure moderating an open interaction forum 'I am not a hero' under Saradhi event hosted by the NSS cell of VNRVJIET. So glad to see them actively working on several social causes and knowing about some of their path breaking initiatives. Proud of NSS team. More updates and photos soon.

Read the full story. The Himachal High Court has given a well thought out judgement in this case. The compensation has been decided considering several other similar cases, students prospective placement offers at that time etc. While any amount of compensation cannot bring back lives of deceased students, but at least, it will help their parents lead a decent life.

The Himachal High Court awards a compensation of 20 Lakh rupees to Parents of Students who were... 24 students from the VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology were washed away at the beas river while on a study tour. The Himachal High Court had taken suo motu cognizance of the issue and has now awarded 20 lakh compensation to the parents of the deceased
