Today is World Earth Day 🌍

At Rubaroo, we’re doing what we do every day. We talk about waste and align it with our actions through our processes, policies, and programmes. We explore how waste connects and divides us: our relationships with food and cultures, urban development, and the choices we make as individuals.

Here are some glimpses from our *Youth Adda on Home Composting* last week, on 15th April. We dug into the how, the when, and most importantly, the _why_ of it.

At Rubaroo, we compost all our food waste right in the office. We’re a waste-free, reduced-landfill space and that’s something we’re pretty proud of. 💚

While we chatted, we also got hands-on: touching and feeling the compost, sieving it, and taking some fresh, earthy goodness home for our plants.

P.S.: Don’t worry about the green plastic bags and plastic sheets under the compost as they are as old as Rubaroo itself. That we're reusing and will continue to be reused hereon till forever. ♻️

EveryDayAction WasteToWorth

Somewhere between all the questions, confusions and fear about love, romance and intimate relationships began Prem-o-Logy - a 2 month leadership journey designed for the alumni of our gender programme! Over 2 residential workshops 15 gender champions showed up, unlearnt, laughed and disagreed together, sometimes sitting in uncomfortable truth.

We spoke of Boundaries, consent, respect, the courage to say no and the confidence to mean it and unpacked the many ways and forms that violence between intimate partners plays out over this time.

Over the coming 2 weeks, we will be posting the reels and videos created by these young people to take their learning forward. Watch this space for more.

Composting transforms organic waste into nutrient rich soil, nourishing plants and reducing the need for the chemical fertilizers. 🌱
