May Day Celebrations

The IQAC of St. Francis College for Women commemorated their Silver Jubilee with a National Seminar titled “From Compliance to Excellence: Reimagining the Quality Journey” on April 28, 2026.

The seminar was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Prof. V. Balakista Reddy and Guest of Honour Dr. Sr. Deepthi, General Secretary, Xavier Board for Higher Education. The event also featured distinguished resource persons, including Mr. Pankaj Bhagat, AI Trainer; Prof. Patrick, BoS Chairperson, Department of Commerce, PRO, Osmania University; and Prof. Uma Joseph, Principal, St. Francis College for Women.

The panel discussion was enriched by the valuable insights of Dr. Kanica Rakhra,Dr.Bheem, Dr. Veluthakkal Jayashree, and Mr. Radhakrishnan R.

As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, IQAC Coordinators who played a pivotal role in steering the accreditation journey were felicitated in recognition of their significant contributions.
The participants were. IQAC coordinators, Deans and faculty from colleges across the country.

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism launched Vol. I, Issue 3 of the Photo Magazine “POV – Frames of Perspectives”. The magazine was officially released by the Principal, Prof. Uma Joseph along with Vice Principal Dr. Sr. Sherly. This edition is a result of the dedicated efforts of MA First-Year students, who have showcased their creativity, visual storytelling, and photojournalistic skills.

St Francis College for Women has been shortlisted for the *Top 10 Best Women's Colleges in India 2026* and our Principal, Prof. Uma Joseph has been recognised as one of the top Women achievers in the country, featured in the *Women Entrepreneurs Review magazine - April 2026 edition*

56th Governing Body Meeting - April 2026

We are proud to share that our Principal, Prof. Uma Joseph, has been honored with the Inspiring Education Award at the EGN Education Summit, held at Taj Vivanta Hotel, Begumpet. This prestigious recognition celebrates her exceptional contributions and selfless service to the education sector. Her dedication and leadership continue to inspire our entire academic community.

The Samaritan Transcend Sub-Club of COFEE, Department of Commerce, visited Sannihita Girls' Home on March 28, 2026. During the visit, essential items were distributed and meaningful interactions were held with the children, creating memorable moments together. This initiative, grounded in community care and welfare, exemplified the spirit of service and social responsibility.

The La Fiesta Club of the Department of English launched the club newsletter for the academic year 2025-26. Titled 'Quintessence’, the newsletter was released in the presence of the Principal, Prof. Uma Joseph, Dean of Arts and HoD, Dr. Reena Dewan, as well as the members of the Department of English.
